Does Pac's victory over Hatton give DLH a little more credit...

I have said since the Pac-DLH fight that people were quick to call DLH shot, drained at the weight, etc, etc, etc.... But the way in which Pac dispatched with Hatton surely gives that argument less value.

I agree, however, with Roach that DLH 'could no longer pull the trigger', I too thought this following the Steve Forbes fight, but he wasn't that bad, he certainly wasn't shot.

    Any thoughts?

Roach said DLH can't pull the trigger nor cut off the ring since he was training him for his fight against Mayweather. Its nothing new. Oscar has been past it since he fought Felix Sturm

he wasnt as bad as people make out. first three round he was firing his jab, combinations but was just hitting air or pacs gloves. he was sparring on the 24/7 for 12 rounds a week before the fight. everyone knew he was no longer in prime, he was a bit drained but not like a zombie people make out, he just got beat by a younger better fighter.

Oscar was way past his best that fight but not the cadaver that people make him out to be. They made it seem that Oscar had no chance at all and that Pac was picking on old little Oscar.

It's good to see him getting some credit.

People were talking like he brought Sugar Ray out of retirement.

ODLH used I.V. to rehydrate. He weighed less than Pacquiao. He hadn't fought at 147 in OVER 10 years, and if you compared his last 4 performances to how he fought in his prime, yopu'd know he was a shell of what he once was.

    End of story.

Say what you want about Oscar, but to the end he had a solid chin.

He did seem weight drained fighting at 147, but that's no excuse. He signed up for that weight months before the fight and had plenty of time to prepare. That's really poor preparation on his part to have to cut so much weight just prior to the bout that he needed an IV.
