Who actually trained him when he was on top?

I took that as red, hence why Pea isn't mentioned in this thread.

Yeah that time off not only against Oscar but throughout his career didn't help Quartey. For what it's worth I thought he did beat Oscar when they did fight and outboxed him for the few early and most of the mid rounds. I also thought he beat Forrest as many do believe. Quartey of course is known for his very solid jab and in his day he would've been problems for the top names in his day(Wright, Forrest when they were younger, Mosley, Trinidad, DLH if Quartey fought him sooner) and it would've took a top performance to beat Quartey when he was on.

TBH, DLH's jab on Floyd gets overrated. Floyd had problems with it for a couple of rounds then adapted to it nullifying it and countering the jab.

Hopefully BE does make that thread, I will be there. I also hope a better quality version of Vargas/Quartey gets on yt as I want to watch it again and score it.

Well, i think he would have got the better of Oscar with both at their best.

oscar is just wound up a bit too tight in big fights.

I pick him over Mosley and Forrest as well.
