Honestly, if Cotto is considered a hall of famer by a lot of fans for his mixture of quality resume by modern-day standards, success in 3 different divisions, willingness to face anybody, exciting fights, and popularity, Williams wasn't that far off. Williams had everything listed there minus the popularity, which is by far the least important. He had a fantastic resume for current fighters and participated in real battles against some of the best in the sport.

I voted no in that I don't think he's earned it (two controversial wins), but I still think there's a chance due to his accident. Career being cut short by force rather than early retirement or becoming a tomato can earns more credit among sentimentalists who decide these things.

Achievements wise he doesn't deserve it tbh.

He could probably be placed there due to sentimental reasons, though.

I wouldn't complain if it happens.

    MD12 Martinez
UD12 Margarito (prime, with bricks possibly)
    UD12 Wright
    TKO1 Quintana
    TD4 Cintron (lol)
    UD12 Ishida

Although muddled with a lil controversy here and there, he has a pretty solid top 5 wins. Can also depend on how far Martinez climbs

Its possible. A champion multiple times and multiple divisions with an exciting style, heart, and willingness to fight anyone. Also ducked or avoided by many big names. Having his career cut short by this tragedy will add to it.

PWill, did defeat every fighter he fought against. Also, he won titles in 2 weight divisions and was avoided too. Based on his resume and exiting fights I say Hell Yes!!!

It's surely possible, but I can't say yes or no for sure.. He has some good wins, but some do have situations (Winky's inactivity) that take away from them. I wouldn't complain if he did or didn't make it, but I'm hoping he does. His situation is sad ****, especially when he had a headlining ppv with Canelo coming up soon. ****!!

I think he was on his way, but I think he comes up short. I think he could have won championships at 154,160 and 168, to go along with his championship at 147. Making him 4 weight champion.

I think it's entirely too early to be critiquing paul williams in any way, even from a boxing perspective. Think about how bad of a tragedy this must be for paul and his family.

    ****ing motorcycles.
