You are correct, I was asking questions about what happened to the Pavlik-Williams fight, because last I heard they were fighting, and I was off the site for a few months and next thing they are fighting different guys.

So I got as much info as I could about the subject. (that's called research, it's what you do when you are not sure about a subject, and you gather info to formulate your own opinion.)

So based on the info I gathered, mostly from Pavlik fans (especially Hermit, thank you) this is what I have derived happened ond my opinion on it.

Is there anything in my post that was not factual in relation to the history of the events, and do you disaagree with my assessment, regarding the future events?/

Or should I have just guessed on what happenend and make **** up like 80% of this forum does??

I am supposing from the tone of your text, you are not a big fan of history. Since all it is is reaearch of events you don't know anything about and deriving your own hypothsis and opinions based on the reasearch you do.

i am a big fan of history so please dont act like u know me form the "tone of my text"..and did u think maybe not all the facts u heard was the truth? u are basicaly going on hearsay not facts. ohh and imo all williams kept saying is people were afraid to fight him and that is also fighters at 147lbs. now all of a sudden he is going back to 147, now what does that sound like?

I brought up history because you snidely derided me doing research to get my facts, which history is based upon. If you are a "big fan of history" you would have no problems with my method.

Now to the main point at hand.

Which of my historical assessments are hearsay and not facts in your opinion.

    1. Williams tried to fight Pavlik
    2. Pavlik postponed the fight
    3. Pavlik dictated most fo the terms for the first fight
    4. Pavlik could not be ready on time for the first fight
    5. Pavlik has not beat a top notch fighter in almost 2 years
    6. Williams has beaten a top notch fighter in almost 2 years.

Those were the 6 facts I presented in my post. Which were hearsay, which do you agree with??

    My opinions were

    1. Williams is not ducking Pavlik. I base that opinion that he signed to fight him, and even let the fight postpone once before choosing another opponent.
    2. Moving to a the weight class that you orginated from is not a sign of ducking. Pavlik, Jones, Mosely and many other s have done it.
    3. Pavlik is not ducking Williams. I believe he really was hurt and had to postpone the fight.
    4. Pavlik lost negotiating leverage when he fought Espino and Williams beat martinez. I used facts 5 and 6 to base this opinion.

Now I know you are a big Pavlik fan, based on your sign in. By why the hostility to this particular post?

Explain to me how is it clear? Who postponed the fight 2 times in a row and then all of a sudden signed to fight a bum fighter a few days after Williams vs Martinez signed?

Yea it makes sense Williams is ducking to fight Pavlik when it was Pavlik that postponed the fight 2 times in a row.

Absolute bull**** that proves you are unwillingly or unable to talk about Pavlik in any sort of factual way.

Hopkins/Pavlik; the best LHW in the world buzzed KP a couple times, but he sure as **** did "hurt" him in a boxing sense. It wasn't a knitting contest. It was a fight dim-wit.

Miranda couldn't buy a ****ing blink from Pavlik with his life savings.

Pavlik suffered a flash knock down from Zuniga, and then spent the next 8 rounds shredding Zuniga's face.

The fact that you brought up McKart tells me you did not even see the fight. Do not talk about fights you haven't seen. You're growing reputation as a complete moron will grow even faster if you do.

Bedburdick was an expereinced journeyman Pavlik fought in his 7th pro fight, and knocked him the **** out in 3 rounds.

You talk to much **** buddy. At least TRY to stick to the facts.

You're welcome. The only thing I would disagree with is I don't think Pdub stock went up at MW with his dubious win over Martinez. Not at MIDDLE WEIGHT at any rate.

Kelly's stock was OK up through the Rubio fight actually. The time that fight sold out proved that. He had the long layoff because of the hand and this last fight was thrown together in a hap hazard manner because of the ABC's. As long as he fights a decent opponent next, I think he regains his momentum just fine.

So, I really don't think Pdub gained any bargaining position. Arum isn't going to bend over for him. Bute wants Kelly. Mundine wants Kelly. Sturm wants Kelly. Martinez would be a much better fight than Williams, but I wouldn't blame him if he never fought here again. Well, let's say Martinez would give Kelly a more difficult fight than Paul. Paul/Kelly colliding in the middle of the ring would be more fan friendly while it lasted I guess. :D

Where does all this PW defensive master bull**** come from?

Honestly, how many of you numbskulls have seen him get beat like an old rug by Margarito? Yes, that Margarito.

I would say one right hand to start the show, another to end it. PW gets knocked out brutal style. So hard, Scar's turban goes flying.
