Yeah he is good. I thought he was being outboxed early on in his last fight, but he showed a lot of grit and determination even though he wasn't having his best night. That's a quality that has served Calzaghe very well down the years.

Calzaghes chin is solid. He took some huge shots from Kessler and was never hurt. Hopkins just dropped him because he caught him with a shot he didnt see and it was also the first round. Some fighters usually are very succeptible to being dropped the first round. In mexico we just call it getting caught cold. As if your bodys not warmed up into the fight.

Seconded. I think joe will need yet another great win after his win over RJJ, as that fight will just generate even more hate for him.

I hope they fight too. Though, as of right now, their schedules don't match up too well. Pavlik has a defense against Lockett on 6/7, then probably a september or october date with Rubio. Then, if both are still champions, a unification with Abraham.

Please sir, you certainly have your right to your opinions, but GOT DAMN!! don't be comparing Pavlik with no damn Lacy.

Pavlik is no Lacey. Pavlik is two to three classes above Lacey. Lacey was nothing more than a heavy puncher. Pavlik has skill, will, speed, power, and adaptability.

Hard to say. Joe had been calling out Pavlik since his first win over Taylor, and after the 2nd fight Pavlik had mentioned Calzaghe's name himself a few times.

But in the post fight interview, Kellerman pretty much asked Joe straight up, Pavlik or RJJ? Joe said nothing of Pavlik in his reply.

Obviously the RJJ in Wales fight was on the table before Joe ever stepped foot in the ring with Bhop, because it has only been a couple days and press releases are already coming out for it. I don't mind it at all though, Joe deserves a big ass pay day, and win or lose it should give Jones another good pay as well. Just some "hard core legacy" types will be shouting for Joe to be fighting "young guns".

i can see plenty of clear comparisons. both young champs, both big hitters who like to walk forward to take guys out. Nobody as of yet has shown the public Kellys weakneses, but Pav is no defensive master, he can be hit and hurt.

Dont be surprised if Calzaghe - Pavlik ends the same way as Calzaghe - Lacy.
