true but in regards too actual punching and what povetkin is gonna get sent his way, it's chambers.

but in terms of mobility, there isn't anyone close to what wlad brings to the table. he's very light on his feet for a man 6'6''

i will say wlad hasn't faced anyone with povetkin's combination punching skills though. he is tremendous in that department. basically, i think povetkin is the third best hw H2h behind the klitschkos. very good just badly outgunned in size, power and experience against the brothers.

:good Very good post, it's nice to see turning into one of the better posters on ESB. Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe Peter's reach is around 77 inches, which is pretty good for a guy thats 6'0 and a half. As I stated before, Povetkin needs to be aggresive, make Wlad uncomfortable, thats his only chance. If he stands back in the pocket and try tries to box with Wlad, his going to meet the same fate as Lamon Brewster did in their second fight. He needs to get as low as possible, and look to counter Wlad when throws out pawing jab. Most of all, he needs to make it a living hell on the inside, continue punching, make it a ugly fight, one Wlad has a hard time winning.

NO.........This guy need more fights, his camp made a mistake by taking wlad now, they should of waited for 2010, an tried to fight tall men in that time period, so he was used to it,,,,,,This could be like igbraomo fight, but i see alex coming in an getting beat down, should be done before the 10th

appreciate it pun....yes povetkin has a very difficult task in front of him. he's gonna have to take a lot of punishment no matter what happens though. he's got guts and heart, but he's never taken a beating before. he might very well have to in this one. always interesting to see how a fighter reacts after wlad cracks him with that big right for the first time. it's a chin checker for sure.

...and yes Peter has an incredible reach. i know he's close to wlad in that respect, not sure how close. even though he's just a hair above 6', he's got long arms and really broad shoulders.

i hope he comes back and remains a viable contender. he brings much needed color to the scene. haven't heard a peep from him since the loss. must be completely devastated

I have a feeling he will go MIA for awhile, kind of like Brewster did after losing to Wlad the second time around. Dont worry, he will be back in action in 09, and probably be champ again sometime in 2010, as long as he stays with King.

The sad thing is Kobe, I think I might be the only Peter fan left on these boards, I was shocked to see Fourty jump ****, I really thought he was a true Peter fan, the guy has a one hell of a boxing collection.

Peter was a different breed of animal back when he fought Wlad. Just remember how many flush 1-2's he took and acted like they were nothing. I understand you're a Peter fan, but suggesting Povetkin does the same against Wlad is way off. That rushing face first not giving a damn about incoming fire strategy was exactly what made Peter what he's become today - a B-class fighter with average boxing skill for whom quitting is an acceptable way to finish a fight.

I posted for Peter to come back after his devastating loss. He has my hope and respect to learn from his loss and come back a better fighter.
I also respect some on this board who called the fight--Vitali is, and always will be, all wrong for Sam.
