It's absolutely possible. The first couple of rounds will tell us if he's gotten old overnight, which I don't expect him to.

Was watching some his workout the other day and he's practicing throwing shots whilst moving backwards a lot, which I'm a fan of.

Ignore him, he's a povetkin super fan who has been driven insane by the fact Povetkin isn't the favourite in this fight.

He might stop Joshua much earlier.

Depends if we see the Klitschko Joshua or the Parker Joshua. I've got a feeling McCracken is instilling a safety-first approach in him and we may see another dullish affair with Povetkin desperately trying to get inside, only to be tied up by AJ. I can't see him wanting to go in there and trade, which nearly cost him against Wlad. AJ1 would KO or be KOed, AJ2 will probably win on a boring points decision, much to the delight of some on this board...

Judging by Joshuas last fight Povetkin could very well go the full distance because Joshua was painfully cautious, i hope he is not transforming into Wladimir 2.0, also i hope the referee won't be as bad as the one against Parker and allows them to fight inside.

My thoughts as well. Now that AJ is a cash cow they have to protect their investment and that means not losing is more important than winning.

I think Joshua is desperate to rekindle his (overstated) wrecking ball rep, after two dull defences comprising of a British stoppage and a boring points win. If he's true to his word, I don't think Sasha will hear the final bell.

Added to that, the HW focus - for the first time in years - rests elsewhere: with Wilder and Fury. I suspect he will try snatch that back with something more eye-catching than his recent efforts. Therein lies a glimmer of hope for Povetkin fans, as that might give him openings to counter. But my hunch is he will be taken care of before round 10...

Actually the more i think about it the more i give Povetkin a good chance.

At first i thought that fight is a mismatch but i think Povetkin is a superior fighter to Parker and i have recently watched the AJ vs Parker fight again and that fight was a lot closer than i had it in my memory but it's unlikely that Povetkin wins on points when you look at the scorecards from the Parker fight so he has to knock AJ out.

I think Povetkin is a live dog, Joshua has shown to be susceptible to left hooks which plays into Povetkins cards, he needs to avoid the uppercut though or it's gonna be a short night for him.
