    Kinda.

Povetkin didn't even fight at his best and was ill. It probably reflects on Dimitrenko more than Povetkin, because Eddie isn't that great.

so you think Povetkin would win a rematch as well and easier?

Povetkin's win was a good win then, and a good win now.

It's a shame that Povetkin didn't fight Dimitrenko. He would have got a few rounds in vs a bigger man. Preparing him for Klitschko.

About the same. He's always going to struggle with Povetkin's come forward assaults, because he didn't really hit hard enough to stop him.

I think Povetkin can fight better, but he's not been active enough so he'll probably be rusty. And Chambers is lighter now too.

Still think Povetkin wins 8-4 more times than not.

    I'd rank em like this

    1-Wlad
    2-Vitali
    3-Povetkin
    4-Chagaev
    5-Chambers

Chambers is good enough to be #3 though if he shows he can stay in decent shape long-term. Dimitrenko was far worse than i thought though.

I think Povetkins stock was high after he beat Chambers but fell after his fight with Estrada.

Tonights Chambers vs the Povetkin of his last fight would be a lot closer than their first fight.

I'd switch Chambers and Chagaev but agree with the rest. And I may have been giving Dimitrenko too much credit as well. He'd been feasting on soft competition most of his career. I thought he might get a generous decision in a close fight but it sounds like he was simply outclassed. Chambers is a good fighter but will be too small for either Klitschko. I'd pick Chambers in a rematch with Povetkin.

I don't think Povetkin stock rise cause Chambers in that fight wasn't in good shape and weigh in 218. If Chambers stays in under 210 if he face Povetkin in the rematch, i'll give Chambers a great chance to beat Povetkin.

If this if that...Povetkin beat Chambers when he was recovering from the flue and still beat him. Yes Povetkin's stock has risen because of Eddy's (deserved) victory.

because eddie needs to prove he can stay in shape long-term for me. Chagaev has wins over three top 10 hws as well....Virchis, Valuev and Ruiz. Their resumes are pretty close. Chambers wins over Brock, Peter, and Dimitrenko are not better imo.

While Chagaev faced Wlad and got dismantled, I doubt Eddie can do much better. They are very close.

As for Tony Thompson, I'd pick him to beat Haye too :yep

This is how I see it as well. Chambers has beaten Peter and Dimitrenko, and lost a close one to Povetkin.

I think Chambers beats Povetkin in the rematch. His stamina failed him in the first fight. Before he gassed, he was schooling the Russian doughboy. Then he stopped throwing punches about midway thru. Chambers has dropped that beer belly and looks like he's actually well-conditioned now.
