Carlos Monzon was a smoker, and partied a lot.

Carlos Ortiz was an alcoholic. Arturo Gatti drank a lot, and had drug problems, in the late 90s. Mike Tyson tested positive for weed against Andrew Golota. So did Greg Haugen for the first Hector Camacho fight.

Julio Cesar Chavez had drinking problems. Roberto Duran liked to drink and party. Sonny Liston and Diego Corrales had drinking problems, and people have described them as Jekkyl-and-Hyde sorts when alcohol was in their systems.

Jake LaMotta said he used to drink Vodka before he did his morning roadwork.

 

Ricky Hatton is well known for drinkin plenty of beer.

 

Tell me more about Gatti,Chavez and Corrlaes,this are new things,knew Arturo drank here and there but that is it.

 

Hecto Camacho used drugs for years and hardly ever trainded, he wa just a really gifted athlete.

Wilfredo Benitez had drug problems and did not like to train but he was also a wiz and extremely talented.

 

Adrian Diaconu smoked while a teenager and drank a little

 

Corrales died when he was driving drunk. He had a previous DUI case. The story of him going to prison goes...someone prank called him and said his wife was having an affair with him. Chico, the paranoid drunk, flies into a rage and beats her.

There was a recent article in The Ring discussing Chavez's drinking and how his son basically saved his life. It was said "Chavez was drinking himself to death".

Gatti had a DUI case, and when he was drunk he beat up a cop. Gatti has talked about how he partied way too much in his younger days when he was fighting and would party and drink too much.

 

I heard about Gatti beating up a cop,didn't know he was drunk doing it.This was around the PBF fight or what?And Chico went to prision for beating his wife right?It is the same incident I am thinking about
