Does Rahman even give a f**k about winning?

I would actually like to see him KO flabby Pov, but Rahman himself from what I hear must still over 260 at least. I do wonder if he wants the title even barely, the paycheck is there win or lose.

On a side note, what does Rahman even do these days when he's not getting a title shot? Does he have any assetts left?

Just curious because I have not been able to find anything related to his training or how he looks. Last I heard he was at Duke University working with the medical team to help him shed the pounds. According to his trainer, he had lost like 20 or 30 pounds. I can't recall how much exactly.

There was a german linked article about his press conference with Pov there, they made mention to his weight, couldn't translate to see if it meant at his last fight or recently?

Rahman didn't look that bad to me when I saw him recently.

From the photo I saw at the press conference, he didn't look to big. The fight is still a month away though. If he is 260 now that's a good thing. Dropping 15 pounds and coming in at 245 is easy with the fact the fight is 41 days away.

If the article is right and he's 260 at the moment then I am impressed.

I agree he doesn't look too bad in the photo above, but someone in the earlier thread had the link up making reference to his 284 weight, possible they were only quoting his weight from last year:

if he didn't, he wouldn't make the effort to shed 30+ lbs

Could be. I would like to think from the press photo he can't be near 284. If he is even 270 right now he will easily be 245 by fight night. 25 pounds in 41 days isn't a crash course. Rahman's best weight is 235-245. I think he will be ready. I'd love to see Povetkin come in really heavy and give Rahman a good chance to win. If that scenario happens I am definitely gonna put money on Rahman. He's a 7-1 dog outright and you know he has to go for the KO. I bet those odds are probably 12-1.

i want him around 220, anything over 240 and he only has a punchers chance imo, povetkins slipped lately, but knowing he will have to fight wlad or charr next he is probs getting into semi decent shape.

Heavies shouldn't have to worry about losing weight during training camp.

They should just train. Getting the money those guys do, they should be within touching distance of their fighting weight all the time.

    Unprofessional *******s.

Obviously he does. But can he? No way. Rahman was never that good, in addition to bein badly shot by now.

Dude is truly a one hit wonder, his whole career rests on a single punch. I don't even know who he's beaten in the last 5 years to get this title shot. Boxing is in need of some deep changes.

His best KO since Lennox is Meehan who Rahman stopped on his feet. This myth of Rahman having savage power is BS. The guy hasn't KOed anyone worth a crap in his career besides Lennox who had a weak Chin anyway.
