Rahman hasn't sparked anyone decent in years he has got decent pop but not the skills or physically ability to land it anymore, he wont go past 6. Stick a fork in him

The Huck fight surely was a wake up call to Potvetkin. He was being beaten to the punch and hurt by a smaller fighter.

I think from here on out he begins to take the sport seriously. A loss at this point to a guy like Rahman could set his career back and cost him a 2-5 mil payday with a Klitschko.

Im going with the concensus on this one......the wieghin will give us our answer. A 230+ Potvetkin vs a 240- Rahman is a bad combo for the top WBA contender.:think

Hasim Rahman on the trajectory he was on when he plodded to defeat to Klitschko a year or so ago, will collapse around the 8th to Alexander Povetkin.

This sin't to suggest I rate Povetkin too highly. He's not blossomed in the manner I had hoped he would but I would suggest for Rahman this is the last visit to the top 10 and he will become a name gatekeeper for the next two years.

Personally, if he takes Povetkin into or beyond the 10th, I could see Fury fighting him in the Autumn in an attempt to 'better' that performance.

Not too good of a shot at all. Povetkin will take this one pretty easily. Hopefully he will get back with Teddy's goofy ass cuz at least he comes in shape to fight when he is training with Teddy.

he doesn't dedicate himself to getting in shape. he hasn't weighed under 250 pounds in nearly 4 years. No chance at all. Shameful he's even ranked. but he'll get a decent payday though.

  7. I stand by what I said. Huck was faster,Huck was more accurate,Huck threw more punches,Huck rocked Povetkin at least twice. Huck exposed that fat slob and he deserved the win. Povetkin took 3 steps back with that fight and that decision is making it harder for fighters to win on points.

I am not saying he didn't get exposed. I think Povetkin was landing more and punching in combinations early and mid rounds. I don't think Huck was the busier fighter. Later rounds Huck was giving it to him. It could have gone either way. I thought Povetkin had done enough though. Even though he fought a pretty shitty fight.

Too far gone Rahman and his punches don't have snap on them anymore.

It's a virtually risk-free match-up against an old name fighter.

I expect Povetkin to KO Rahman in a similar way he did to Boswell.

What credible fighter has Rahman KOed since Lewis? :huh

His best KO in that time is probably Meehan and he was stopped on his feet. Rahman does not posses concussive power I think the Lennox fight was just an anomaly. He has not KOed anyone of note since then. And that was 8 years ago.....

  13. he doesn't dedicate himself just like Povetkin.

  14. Whoa! calm down sweetheart. First of all, Povetkin is NOT a world champion.
Second of all,his best win against Chageav was a boring European slap fight.
Third,Povetkin is affected by that extra fat he carries around and he barely beat Huck who was fighting for the first time at heavyweight. Povetkin does not take this sport seriously it seems. He fights old guys and gets his check and his happy with never improving form fight to fight. Who am I to criticize? Well I am a boxing fan, student and coach. Imagine that! Now I may not be good enough to win a fake world title like Povetkin but I am a fan and the fans are a big part of the business of boxing. We all criticize because we ARE fans. We should be heard.
Povetkin is a *****,he cant beat Wlad or Vitali,he can't beat Arreola,Fury or Seth Mitchell and I'm just waiting for someone half way decent to calm along and smash him and his camp of cherry pickers. Until he shows me some actual heart and skill,he is just a dumb ass puffy Russian slob.
I hope Rahman breaks Povetkin's fat pink face.

P.S Huck ****ed him up and won at least 7 rounds of that fight and rocked the fatty a few times. Povetkin was stupid to get rid of Teddy Atlas.
So don't take it personal when I criticize this fat Russian ****. What is he your boyfriend or something? Anyway,**** you and suck my balls *****.

The Rahman of 2004 or 2005 would have had a great chance of beating Povetkin. But how many years has it been since Hasim has fought up to his true potential?

I know that Rahman's weight is back down to something reasonable; he's been working hard with EMM. But the weight loss may not compensate for advancing age. It's possible that the reflexes just aren't there anymore for Rahman.

So, I don't know what to say.
