    Yes, Bigfoot Martin was the only man not to get KO'd by Foreman in George's comeback, from 1987-1991 until the Holyfield fight.

    Tyson take a knee? I think we all know that's not his style. What happens if Mercer didn't take a knee? Does he go down with the very next clean shot? Tremendous fight Holyfield-Mercer was, by the way.

    No problems.

    Bigfoot Martin was a good call as well. Like Marion Wilson he was an undersized heavyweight for his time but tough as nails as well. You knew a prospect was ready for bigger things if they could negotiate their way past Marion Wilson, Everett Martin or Ross Purity. Utmost respect from me for these guys.

    Thanks for the memories Russ.

    Puritty's stoppage of Jorge Luis Gonzalez in particular has always been a source of great satisfaction to me.

    I always thought Puritty was a cut above the Wilsons and Martins. While they were tough and durable, Ross was tough, durable and had some talent and pop as well. A bit of an untapped talent in my view actually.
