Yes. If only for services to boxing. He brought a huge amount of casual fans to the sport and made thousands fly trans-Atlantic to see him in Vegas. He helped raise the profile of May & Pac to the casual fan in the UK.

His boxing career wasn't as shambolic as some make out, he lost to the 2 best fighters of the generation (was totally outclassed and KO'd in both I admit).

I suppose so, problem is when you start putting people like Sly Stallone in there then of course Hatton has to go in there.

In my opinion, yes. I checked out the IBHOF for a long list of members and you'd likely be surprised who's in there. Guys like Teddy Atlas and Al Bernstein for their contribution over the years calling fights and offering "Expert Commentary".

How about Yaqui Lopez with a record of 61-15, Armando Muniz with 44-14, Floyd Mayweather ****ing Sr. with a 28-6 record and no titles to his name and only one minor title fight that he lost to Marlon Starling. However, Starling is not in the HOF with a record of 45-6-1 with 18 title fights in the alphabet soup with 12 wins against 6 losses.

That makes it a popularity contest and not actually based on true ring accomplishments. Not to say there aren't many ATG fighters in the HOF, but it is getting watered down considerably.

he only lost to pac and floyd and when he lost to them, they were both considered pound for pound #1. he deserves to be in there.
