Don't look at it that way. If Jones becomes the first man to ever beat Joe Calzaghe, does he deserve to hold the ring title? The answer is yes.
if joe calzaghe ever decides to fight a proven world class fighter in his prime...well you get the picture..... it's not that no-one has beaten joe, is it? it's that he's never put himself in with the best.
Answer my question. If Roy Jones becomes the first man to beat Joe Calzaghe, does he deserve to be ring champion?
No, he does not. But based upon the last 15 years, yes, he does. This is Joe's last bite. Only an ******* would deny him it. If you doubt it, watch a fight.
i just did. no. calzaghe has never fought a world class fighter in his prime so he shouldn't qualify.
You have a vendetta against Joe Calzaghe's career, therefore you're opinion holds no credibility. The answer is yes.
with an answer like that it means you're not prepared to lock horns with me. you're taking the easy way out if you don't believe in what you say. i do...and i'm challenging you
so..in general...what should qualify a fighter to contest a world title... his recent achievements, say last 3+ years, or total career achievements say 10 years ??
Technically - yes he does. He's @ no.5 in the Ring's Light Heavy rankings. Anyone in the top ten can argue that they deserve a shot at the title.
