of his career. In His Prime I think 99% of us agree this would have been a decisive win for RJJ, but that was based on Jones being such a authorative puncher. RJJ doesn't seem to hit witht hat same speed and timing anymore obviously hes 39 and years past his best.

But if B-Hop hop could time a straight right lead and drop joe at 175lbs
can a guy like RJJ who has been a better puncher than B-Hop and a better offensive fighter hurt Calzaghe with his left Hook or Right lead, at this stage of his career.

I think he may be able to as I think Calzaghe was more tentative against a 175lber he felt the extra strength of a bigger fighter.

I still pick Joe to beat Jones if the fight is in Wales.

Prime Jones vs. prime Calzaghe is a f* Speed Race. Awesome fight.

I think Jones' power is still there, he's still very fast (but not AS fast) but his accuracy is not that perfect anymore. Remember how bad he decked Tito? But how bad he looked afterwards missing with all those power punches?

I think Jones' gonna use the same right hand Hopkins landed flush but Joe will make the necessarily adjustments in camp and prepare for that. Remember that Jones is not as good making you off-balance and throwing those shots like Hopkins. He can make you pay for any openings and missed opportunities, he's a super fighter, but Hopkins is somewhat a southpaw specialist and southpaw Tarver gave the veteran Jones serious problems with his style.

Hopkins could break Calzaghe's game who still threw 700 in the end. Vs. Jones I think he'll throw his usual 1000. As it was the case here, I think Joe will be too much for the veteran Jones unless he can knock the guy out. But who knows, Jones looked great the last time. Okay, but vs. who is a good argument as well...

Enough power? We'll have to see, but BHop put him on his ass, so I'll assume so. My concerns would be the same as what happened to Bernard, would Roy have Gas left for the Championship rounds?

It has never been true that southpaws gave Jones trouble. Everyone leaps on Tarver as an example, but Hall was a taller bigger harder hitting southpaw who Jones destroyed and toyed with. Tarver just got in at the right time.

Jones still hits hard enough and fast enough to get Calzaghe's attention. But he doesn't throw enough, nor will he throw if you pressure him, so Calzaghe wouldn't have much to fear from Jones. Unless, and this is a big key, Calzaghe hits Jones flush (still harder to do than it is to most fighters) and he realizes Calzaghe has nothing on the punch. But I think the few flush lefts he hit Hopkins with last night would have Jones' attention.

Why must we now have to swallow this ****....Joe C should just retire...thats it he has proven he is very good fighter why challenge a wasted, twice KTFO present day tomato? why? cause he was great 10 years ago and the name {Roy Jones} looks good. Fight Dawson or Pavlik I will even take a Jermain Taylor, if not just retire, because a win against Roy is meaningless.

Roy is flat footed nowadays and does not have a lot of gas, either.

Plus he is mentally weaker than Hopkins and still unsure of himself after the back to back KO losses.

Calzaghe is not a good fight for an old RJJ, regardless of how vulnerable Joe looked against Hopkins.
