Your missing the point of the what was being said there...The point that Im getting at is some guys let like or dislike of fighters get in the way of reason...this clown was saying that Jones never chased big fights or tough fights..Im pointing out the fact that Adamek isnt chasing big fights either, rather fighting the guys that are put in front of him...And you have only aided that point of view with your comments..

All im saying is beating the Champ and collecting 3 belts is far better than collecting 1 and then collecting wrongfully stripped vacant titles.

    true story:think

No, what I'm saying is Hopkins-Jones was absolutely NOT the product of Roy actively seeking a tough fight. That's a fact, bucko.

You have the audacity to call me a moron when you've just proven you're incapable of understanding the context of the discussion?

    Nice strawman, **** head.

Further proof that Jones never actively sought to fight the best.

Can you imagine if Ali and Frazier had never fought each other? (Yes, the same Frazier who was never even an elite fighter under your ****-poor definition!)

It would have been a horrible stain on both of their legacies, but unlike Jones, those two actively sought this fight so they could prove themselves against the best.

Jones never cared about proving himself. He only cared about fattening his bank account, and did so by hoodwinking the fans.

    He is a ****ing disgrace.

Jump on my line fish...You cats are so transparent, I knew all along what the root of this was about...

DM won two belts from one fighter and was then stripped for not fighting END OF STORY...In one case Lou DelValle was offered step aside money NOT once but twice to allow Hill to fight first Henry Maske, then to fight DM, at which point the winner KNEW that they had to fight DelValle. DM refused and was stripped of the fight. Delvalle won the belt then lost it to Jones. DM lost a court battle for the other belt, when William Guthrie won a court injuntion that prevented DM from defending the title vs anyone other then him. DM then GAVE UP that belt and wasnt stripped as the story so often goes. Guthrie later won the title lost it to Reggie Johnson who lost it to Jones.

Here is really the problem with what your saying...Hill lost the WBA title to Tommy Hearn who lost the title to Iran Barkley who was stripped of the title according to you unrightfully so. The belt was then won back by Hill and lost to DM. So You tell me what is the difference:good

Ask yourself this question, would Adamak be champ if Haye was still in the division? I like Adamak as he's a solid, tough fighter with a punch, but special he is not.

I think Prime Roy would be too elusive for Adamak, but he has a puncher's chance.

DM was not ****ing Frazier if that is what your getting at.

The rest of this post is pure grabage. As I stated this is always been about Jones VS DM in your mind.

Beside what fights did DM chase??? Did he chase a fight with Jones??? :-((

Adamek owes Cunningham a rematch...and until they rematch, I hope everyone from Roy to who ever knocks this Charlie Brown headed, backboard brained dump truck headed ass out!

You're either a man of sub-par intelligence or you're being obtuse.

The point is, you have two undefeated champions (Jones had a loss, actually) in each division. In one case, you have Ali and Frazier who were undoubtedly the 2 best. In the other, you have RJJ moving up into a division where DM was clearly the best.

In one case, the two proved their greatness by fighting each other.

In the other, they did not. Jones did NOTHING to help make the fight happen, even begging HBO not to mention DM's existence on more than one occasion.

Interestingly enough, by your very own definition, DM is an elite fighter whereas Joe Frazier is not!

    :lol::lol::lol:

As for the rest of my post being 'garbage', I think this probably stems from the fact that you are seemingly too stupid to even follow the flow of the conversation.

Regardless, I stand by what I said. Roy never dared to be great and always preferred the path of least resistance.

He ****ed over the fans, the sport, and his own legacy because unlike great champions of the past, Roy never sought to prove his greatness against the very best, and that's a fact.

Now he appears like a punch drunk moron. Very fitting ending. Let us hope he is dumb enough to sign on for the Adamek fight.

Adamek already beat Cunningham. I suspect a rematch will happen somewhere down the line, but for now, Adamek is clearly in the driver's seat, so Cunningham will have to wait.

OUT if the fight is madelol. Adamek is, and has been a ko waiting to happen. As far as what you say about DM-Roy, neither tried to make the fight. DM was unfairly stripped of his IBF title, but how many fights did he fight outside of Germany, and who did he defend them against? You talk about Roy never dared to be great. He knocked Hill out with a body shot, and it took DM 12 rounds to decision Hill.

#@! are you even talking about? You don't have a clue about boxing except how to hate on a fighter lol.

You are right, and that is why I don't put much stock into guys like Adamek who get a few decent wins. He can't box...Briggs beat his ass up in two fights even though he lost both, and Dawson exposed Adamek as not being abe to take it to the body. Cunningham was off for a year, and when the bout ended, Adamek was just hanging on. They gave the fans a good fight, yet, there is nobody at 190 who can fight since Haye left but Cunningham. Make the rematch mountain head. If you go to heavy, you will really have your block knocked off!

Roy ****ed over dedicated fans like me for years. I have every right not to like him.

Let's hope Roy is so stupid!
    :good
We're not talking about DM, though. He never got the type of unjust recognition that Roy got.

We're talking about Roy and comparing him to truly great champions of the past. Any unbiased observer should have no problem admitting that Jones was a business man, first and foremost. He never cared about consistently proving himself against the best like the ATG's of yesteryear.

He never wanted the DM fight. Not only did he not ACTIVELY seek this fight (as any great champion would have), but there is evidence that suggests he actively AVOIDED it!

What a champion! What an inspiration!

    **** Roy.

I hope he further humiliates himself inside the ring before he ultimately retires.
