yeah, it was a matter of time before the glass jaw dickheads came out. i agree with you...a loss like this can be a great experience.... you cant learn to deal with that in the gym....

I think Hearns inherited his Dad's chin. But he obviously has good talent, more so than Yorgey, and with a comeback plan and maybe a training switch up he could be succesful.

I tell you what, it was very disappointing to see Ronald lose. Unfortunately, my company just began sponsoring him. He is a great person inside and outside of the ring, which is why we were excited to be involved with him. Last night was by far the worst he's ever looked. As soon as he was knocked down for the first time in his career, he changed his entire gameplan. Started fighting backing up with his hands down. Does he have a china chin? I don't know. I think it's stupid to say that about anyone. He took a ton of big right hands before he finally went down. And he got up twice. He just needs to get back in the gym, tighten up the defense and start rebuilding this thing. Remember, he's a young 30, considering he didn't start boxing until the age of 25. This was really the equivalent of a young prospect losing.

It seems as though most on here blast the loser for getting beat, even if it's his first loss, instead of posting positive remarks about the winner.....

The thing was not his chin with me. But was his "defense" if you could call it that. I mean the guy would pull his head straight back, never even attempt to catch a punch with his gloves or even roll with a shot. I mean he would flail his arms out and try to push a guy off to keep from punching him. He had 0 lateral movement and had the nerve to keep his left hand low ..... I mean he has heart but come on.

Hearns got up from some wicked shots and managed to recover.

His problem isn't his chin but the fact that whenever he lands a big punch he just seems to stand there and admire his work instead of following it up or protecting himself.

Every time he landed a bomb he got countered. That's a technical deficiency that he needs to work on. Unfortunately its one of those habits that is not easy to correct.

I won't write him off just yet.
