Does Roy Jones Jnr have any Chance against Bernard Hopkins ?

I would rule out everything except Hopkins brutalizing Jones.

 

Isn't "shot" a little harsh with regards to Hopkins? He just beat the heck out of Pavlik, 17 years his junior and middle weight champ.

 

I've been watching Bhops since the late 90s when he was really at his best, the Hopkins that fought Holmes and Tito would have Stopped both Taylor and Pavlik. He can still handle himself BUT he is nowhere near as good as he was in his day, a fast slick boxer would make him show his age IMO.

 

He's over the hill, not shot. Two completely different things. Roy is shot, Bernard is over-the-hill but still game.

Don't get me wrong, I've been watching Hops since the late 90's as well and have seen some of his earlier fights on tape. I think his prime was between the Frank and first Echols fights; he was a monster then. I know he's no where near what he used to be, but "shot" implies a fighter who has nothing left. I'd say he's way past his prime, I wouldn't argue with someone who said he was a shell of his former self. I just wouldn't call him shot.
