Well I'll keep my word as always & congratulate Gervonta Davis for legitimately beating Ryan Garcia last night. Tank was too good, too strong for Ryan. When Ryan got dropped you could see he knew he was in for a rough night. He just did not have the skills to keep Tank off of him. He did all he could till that body shot caught him, he knew then he was beaten. Though I do feel really that he could have got up & carried on it was better for him not to. He knew he was beaten, why take more punishment. He was right to quit when he did. Ryan too needs congratulating for having the courage to take on Tank, plus giving in to all demands including the fateful rehydration clause. Although Oscar & Goosen should have known better than to accept it. At weigh in Ryan looked emaciated I knew then he was in trouble Can he come back ?? Not at 135 that's for sure, go for 140,test the waters with a few warm ups not jump in & challenge the top dogs. Personally I'd ditch Oscar if & was him maybe Goosen too. They must have known he was never ready for Tank..He is the man at 135 !!! Good luck to bothTank & Ryan in their future careers
Yes, the whole narrative that both Tank and Garcia are in their primes is wrong. Garcia is only 24, he's still green. If this fight was made 4 years later then it would have been fair to say that.
https://dknation.draftkings.com/202...are-they-getting-paid-salaries-ppv-percentage 50/50 split on PPV, Tank guaranteed $5mil, Garcia guaranteed $2.5mil
he massively f*cked himself getting baited by Tank into taking this fight. now everyone has bailed on him and his reputation is in the gutter. we’ve just seen why star boxers nowadays rarely “dare to be great”
Depends on what one means by future. Future has in, will he continue to make millions and millions of dollars? Almost certainly. Future as in become a long reigning champion or have a substantial legacy outside of being a box office attraction? Id say no.
Ryan made a lot money , seems like his hunger for the sport is gone .. he mentioned in post fight presser he couldn't get going in camp just couldn't find his way .. It's all in his corner , does he still want to be a champion? Does he still want to be the best version of himself in the ring? These are questions only he can answer too, because he has the natural talent ..
It's OK to lose. I think he will still pick up some meaningful wins, and losses along the way. He strikes me as a fighter that could do better in his 30s when he settles down and can focus on boxing. That is, if he stays in the sports...
