Does Sergey Kovalev really enjoy hurting people so much or is it a marketing ploy?

Find the drunk comments incredibly ironic and in poor taste coming from Ward and Hunter... Ward himself battled a drinking problem in his youth, his dad was a heroin addict and his mom a crackhead, his dads parents were alcoholics. You can't fight as well for as long as Kovalev has while nursing a drinking or a drug problem, that's common sense man.

Russians tell me they see him in interviews and he comes off as a good guy, very likable.

 

if i had to make a quick profile from what little i have seen and read of him, i would say he is a man who is rough around the edges, not evil, but with the capacity for cruelty, if he feels you deserve it. he takes matters which pertain to his idea of honor, very seriously, and he is likely to hold grudges longer than most. his intentions are mostly noble, his methods are sometimes not.

 

Talking about drunk, Kovalev had SOB drunk in their first fight, so drunk that he went to the canvas and almost passed out................Kovalev can be mean in the ring, but against SOB I think he will be fierce................

Kovalev is a nice person, he does not cheat like SOB. I can't blame him if he is angry over being robbed in the first fight, he needs to Knock SOB out to get a draw though, as SOB owns the judges, referee, boxing commission, etc.

 

the way he dealt with the welsh rabbit Clev, that complete disdain for him when he knocked him down so easily and the welsh ref carried clev back to his corner, that was where I first saw it.

I used to train at Fraziers and talked to Joe a few times. I met and talked to Kovalev at a weight in in Atlantic City NJ.
In between met many many fighters. Hard guys like Barklay Hopkins ect.
Joe and Kov were very friendly to me as well as every fighter Ive ever spoken to.
Difference being only Joe and Kov had that look in there eye that said f#ck with me and ill beat the h#ll out of you even though there smiling alot when speaking.

 

Who the f**k would mess with Frazier and Kovalev in the first place? You'd have to be insane or drunk.
