How about if Holyfield had been prime? How would that have gone down?

I imagine Holyfield would have beaten Toney had they fought in 1990.

The speed he had, bulking up might not slow him down at all.

Tua was way fatter, that would boost his chest measurements up don't you think?

The question where you asked me a question? I did, not one person on here knows if bulking up would slow him down.

Oh yes, my chest has gone up from 41." when I was fit ,to 45" now I'm a chubby old man.But we are talking about 11 inches in Tua's case.He was just a naturally way bigger guy.

No they don't. I just queried the use of the word speed, something Rocky wasn't known for. Take Dempsey ,he was fast afoot and with his hands,so he could cope with big guys Rocky was not ,so we don't know if he could, and I'm guessing, only guessing that extra bulk would not serve him well.He traded on stamina and a relentless, non stop come forward style which he was able to sustain because he was pared to the bone , and trained to the minute. I don't think extra muscle would be a positive .It's just my opinion.

Oh yes, everybody's chest measurement grows the same as yours when they gain weight....

How much bigger was Tua naturally then by your reckoning?

In this day and age he would look like lightning compared to these brutes that litter the division.

I've said all along I don't believe he would fight in the HW division, even if he bulked up he would still be a tiny fighter compared to the giants of today.

For what it's worth, I've no doubt Rocky could carry atleast a stone extra. I've no doubt he could be a tank in the ring at 210 pounds.

I'd favour him over many HW fighters in a 1 time fight, I don't think he would be best served campaigning in a division where every single man outweighs him by atleast 20 pounds though.

Not "proud" of anything--came across this post when I was trying to find a post someone had written about the Imp in a more recent thread (suggesting that Imp was a more formidable opponent than he really was).
