    Duran
    Hagler
    Hearns
    Benitez

Three top tier hall of fame guys. I would say yes he does.

Not to mention Benitez when he still had his zero and Kalule too, an underrated win.

Still, many won't give him credit for much except being a ducker. Which says more about them than him.

    Holyfield?

Tyson, Bowe, Moorer, Holmes, Foreman and a draw with Lewis.

It's close. I would compare Holyfield's wins over Foreman and Holmes with Leonard's win over Duran in "Uno Mas".

I'm struggling making other comparisons at the moment.

Still not perfect but Leonard - Hagler seems like a better comparison for Holyfield - Foreman, imo.

    Nah,

Hagler, Hearns and Duran were p4p giants. And Benitez was a hall of famer in his prime too. Holyfield's resume is stellar no doubt but it doesn't eclipse Leonard's.

Possibly. He has Hagler, Duran, Benitez and Hearns. Though we must admit that Hagler was slightly past it by the time they fought. Hearns as good as he was at 147 was a tougher fighter at 154.

I don't want to make it seem like I'm critiquing, just that his resume isn't untouchable. Still probably the best of the last 30 years though.

Have to also consider Jones Jr. who handled prime Toney and Hopkins at their best weight.

Also Pacquiao who handled Marquez, Barrera, Ledwaba, Cotto at their best weights.

    Cotto's best weight was 145?

You can discount anyone's resume if you try hard enough.

For Mayweather it's all world champions but for a few fights from Hernandez on.

I would say SRL would be first or 2nd. Holyfield, might have the other slot.

Have to agree with this. Duran, Hagler and Hearns are names that will be synonymous with the sport for the rest of time and Benitez was a great, HOF fighter who was unbeaten when SRL beat him.

And to stop Hearns and make Duran QUIT is a MASSIVE bonus for the old CV! :good

Hearns edged him in the rematch,Leonard admitted that, and Hagler had slipped a bit.
.But yes,Ray found ways to beat them.
