1. If Dawson fights like he did against Johnson and Tarver fights as well as he fought against Woods? 2. If Dawson stays on the outside and fights a conservative safety-first fight and Tarver fights slightly better than he did against Woods? ...considering that Tarver is a long way off from making weight? (someone quoted Dawson as saying Tarver weighed in at 200 lbs with 30 days to go).
If Tarver can show glimpses of his former self and place a solid one on the chin I don't doubt it Both were somewhat unimpressive in their last outing so its somewhat difficult to tell
Told you that the weight bull**** doesn't come into the game,it was just talking, but nonetheless Tarver can win this only if Chad does a mistake and gets caught on the glass, sorry the chin
Look, Tarver is gonna win this fight period. I'm not a fan of either guy but Dawson is way overrated and that chin is pure glass.
If he doesnt pull the trigger or even beat Dawson to the punch, this will no doubt be a one sided affair. We all know how Dawson will fight, we know he'll make mistakes as he's one of the dummest mongoloid fighters there has ever been......It all depends on what type of fight Tarver fights really...many of our questions about both fighters wont be answered till fight night
"he's one of the dummest mongoloid fighters there has ever been" :good He is too...dumb lisping motherf__ker! He's gonna get KTFO Khan style!
The rumors that he's 190-200 lbs are completely untrue. In the Showtime interview this weekend, Tarver said he's not that much over the limit right now. It was just false rumors.
If Tarver lands a flush, stright left on Dawson's chin, i think the fight will be over. That's going to stun Dawson pretty badly and Tarver will finish him shortly thereafter. But the question is, can he.
No and no. If Tarver fights like he did against Woods, he'll lose full-stop. He can't fight like that against Dawson, because Dawson will not engage him as Woods did. He is a fellow southpaw, with a superior jab and much greater speed and mobility at this point. Tarver just fought exclusively off the backfoot and on the ropes against Woods looking for straight lefts, because Woods couldn't box him from the outside. Tarver has to play the aggressor this time. Completely different scenario here, Tarver has to change his gameplan. He'll probably still lose a decision
Not sure here, Tarver tends to run out of gas late and that could work against him in a fight like this.
