He's certainly biased towards American and Latin fighters but I don't think he hates Eastern European fighters at all. Keep in mind that 90-95% of the FNF viewers are American and/or Hispanic so don't count out the possibility that he's simply catering to his audience.

A lot of boxing knowledge and discussion is opinion. Teddy has trained world class fighters and his keys to win are full of relevant knowledge. He might let personal bias make him pick against certain fighters. It is also east to criticize his choices after the fight is over. To answer the question he is very knowledgeable.

He knows little, makes it sound like he knows a lot. He inherited Michael Moorer, who was already a champ, and was coming off Bonecrusher Smith win under Duva and Benton.

He made such a spectacle of himself, and his writer friends went along, so he stole Moorers credit for win.

Who did Atlas develop? No one. He got Shanon Briggs a top prospect, got him no where. Briggs had success AFTER Atlas. Same for Murqui. Same for LaLonde.

What has Atlas doen to warrant any credit as trainer? He gets guys others develop, then takes credit for the winning. Example: Simon Brown, welterwight champ. His managers get convinced Atlas is good, they fire trainer who got him to title (Pepe Correa) After 2 fights, they dump Atlas, sorry they hired him, and can't get Correa back. One of those things the Dan Rapheal's of this world ignore. 2 fights, and Simon Borwn could not take it.

Manny Steward developed another fighter Atlas inherited, Tyrone Trice . 2 DAYS!! Trice was number one contender, had come up through amateurs with Manny, then pros. He gets to number one, dumps Stewert, goes with Mike Jones (Cooney Manager) for money. Jones hires Atlas, after 2 days they can't stand each other, Trice leaves. Atlas says he has no heart, can't fight, knows nothing--the usual ****.

What the **** did Atlas ever do as a trainer, besides make friends with as many media people as possible? Writers love him, boxers and fight people don't--that says it all.

Perhaps, but hes not being compared to the average ESB-er, obviously. He's being compared to the average boxing expert, and it is in this that he fails miserably.

I think Teddy must be a dumb dumb to have THAT much experience and THAT much wrongness in his predictions. It's actually pretty difficult for the average human to do that.

The whole point of knowing **** to be able to successfully apply it. Why can't teddy do this? Imagine a mathematician knowing every theory and method in the book, but getting all the answers wrong. That is Teddy. Who want's a trainer/expert like that giving you advice.

Atlas predicted that Kirk Johnson would knock Vitali Klitschko out with one punch in their fight at MSG, NY, but Vitali knocked Johnson out in the second round. Atlas always picks against the Klitschkos...............

  9. You mean Szpilka vs. Mollo?

Teddy started to hate against Szpilka when he was on the way to the ring and Teddy was really disappointed when Mollo was knocked out. It was really funny though to listen to him.

He is very passionate about the sport, knows his **** but lets his ego, tough guy macho bull**** and being over-opinionated get in the way too much. Honestly he brags about holding a gun to a 14-15 year old kid's head. His claim to fame was briefly training an Amateur Mike Tyson before being dismissed. He does know boxing but he comes across as a douche bag

I think Teddy is knowledgeable about boxing it his personality that lets him down. It's pretty pathetic watching a middle aged man still trying to prove how tough he is. Surely a half legit tough guy wouldn't have needed a gun to get a msg through to a teenage boy and he definitely would have kept it between them.

I'm certainly not justifying the use of guns to resolve conflicts, but that "teenage boy" was a sociopathic delinquent who outweighed Atlas by at least 50 lbs and was a Jr. Olympics Gold Medalist in Boxing. Also consider what the offense was and you'll understand his reaction a little better...

Atlas put gun to Tysons head over problems in training camp, he was mad Cus was letting Mike train, when Atlas wanted him to be punished Teddy thought he was in charge, and story of girl is lie. Teddy is a punk, always will be.
