Does the boxing media have a significant part to blame in fans treatment of Bradley?

    As well as others...

I mean if the HBO crew on the night of Bradley -vs- Pacquaio shifted blame onto the judges, which went towards them getting penalised a lot of hate towards Bradley will have been culled.

I don't think the media realise how much of a significant part they play in how fans view of boxing? Or do they? If instead of chastising the fighters, they should normally be pointed fingers at the real people to blame; the players behind the scenes.

The problem with that though is that most journalists are in the back pocket of these 'so-called' players behind the scenes, and what you get instead is a corrupt system.

At least though, the right guy won on Saturday and gained his vindication. Also the loser won, the fans won and boxing won in general.

That Pac fight is yesterday's news thanks to JMM.

Bradley has had ample time to separate himself from it and has failed thus far.

Not even Saturday night's blockbuster has swayed your opinion of Bradley. I'm shocked.

The HBO crew are a disgrace, particularly in relation to anything Pacquiao.

Bradley needs to adopt an andre ward/floyd mentality.

Haters mean your doing well, don't worry about it. You got paid 5 million to fight pac. You got a gift win. You got the welterweight belt.

Seriously, there's people in boxing a lot lot lot worse of than bradley.

even getting booed, who cares. Ali got booed his whole career. its entertainment.

to answer the thread. No. The media never villified bradley. they just reported what happened.
But i suppose they could have put more emphasis on bad judges.

Really was quite disgraceful, and it showed in their affection towards Bradley last Saturday.

Media has the power to voice opinions of people as well as share information. They had a chance to direct this unreasonable hate towards the people it was mean't for but they didn't.

Another thing is, who wants to get booed? Yes Ali got booed but do you think it was liked. You put in hour after hour and day after day of training to come out victorious on fight night. Yet after all the toll, you get booed. It's a hard pill to swallow, and I haven't experienced it myself but can imagine it being so.

It was just the stupid pacturds giving death threats and yes Manny at the time had HBO on his nuts minus Max Kellerman due to being the 2nd biggest draw but Bradley proved he was a warrior and now HBO and a few fans are happy.

Yes HBO has allot of cleaning up to do and you could hear them trying their best during the Ruslan fight, But I believe the damage they caused on behalf of Pacquiao that Damage is done there is no un doing that.

whats ****ed up is when you listen to that broadcast you can basically here, We lost our Floyd Mayweather Jr to show time and this is the closest thing we got in the division to Floyd knowing Marquez and Pac are retiring soon, they started up talking Tim like Crazy.

Even when Kellerman broke down Bradley saying some **** like Bradley sought out fought and beat the best fighters finally fights Pac he gets a questionable win over Pacquiao and is treated so badly as a result....

Thats their doing they narrated the damn fight and the *******s and casual fans took it to another level, making death threats towards Bradley, threatening them with God and ****....

HBO is to blame watch though they are going to do their best to clean it up I just dont think its going to be HBO that cleans it up its going to have to be Tim, he and his fights will have to do it..... what HBO did to Tim left a stain

During Pac vs Bradley were did the HBO team give Bradley any fair commentary? That in itself gave was their contribution. They gave fans a biased view of what was going on in ring which added fuel to the flaming outcry.

Bradley had to put himself within a hair of losing for fans, media and HBO to respect him again. As much as I was entertained last Saturday night, that's not right.

    its a mindset thing.

    He needs to change his.

In boxing, its better to be booed, than silence.

Just ask floyd. He's the biggest star in boxing cos he's the most hated.

I don't really know of any media reports dissing bradley or blaming him. Which are you talking about?

Everyone i read, blamed the judges and gave bradley credit for his spirited performance.

What was your original opinion of Bradley before the fight?

I know he's tough. I already knew he had heart. I understand that he knows how to win.

I also believe that he's a limited fighter who took some of the luster off of their cash cow by beating him. What did you expect? Remember how Lampley treated Floyd on his show a week after the DLH fight?

Bradley's biggest mistake is giving a **** about what people like me think.
