I remember briggs hurting lewis early...........i think round 1 or 2 lewis was out on his feet after that lewis regrouped and beat the dog **** out of him
Yes. Fast hands. Not scared to throw a big guy who could handle the wrestling and massive power of his own. He would have the dimensions to counter Wlads jab as well.
Briggs has never beaten a good opponent ever. Foreman doesn't count as he really didn't win that. So why would one believe that Briggs could beat wlad?
Yes in the first round, too. WALDO would initiate a clinch and have his jaw shattered quickly. Current WALDO gets DQ'd for headbutting.
Agreed. Briggs was coddled early and it hindered his progress. Leaving Atlas hurt him also IMO. He had a high guard then. After leaving Atlas he immediately started holding his left low, and became less effective inside. This content is protected
Yeah, his only solid win came in 2006 when Liakhovich ran out of gas and decided to stand right in front of him at the very end of the fight when he was easily winning on the cards.
:deal Nearly any Lewis, really, beats an equivalent version of Steel-hammer. (that is, any pre-Steward LL vs. any pre-Steward WK, or any post-Steward LL vs. any post-Steward WK)
It's selling Wlad short by saying Briggs knocks him out, as porous as his defense was. Though let's put the myth to rest that Wlad cleared out the heavyweight division by himself. His bro helped in that. Don't overrate power, power that somehow didn't knock Lewis with his suspect but underrated chin out.
