Does the classic forum agree that pinning down Evander's "Prime" is futile?

Tyson's performance against Holyfield is underrated. Watch it again: that doesn't look like two faded boxers fighting to me.

Here's why I don't think Wladimir is in his physical prime anymore. He's been stopped three times. He's been a pro almost 14 years, he's 34, also had a 100+ fight amateur career, and has been in 57 total pro fights. The wear and tear on his body must be there and I think he even showed signs of it recently, I think, fighting with a torn bicep in the Chagaev fight and injuring his shoulder during, leading to a minor tendon surgery. Two sports injuries surrounding one fight. I don't feel he's in his physical prime anymore, not that I think he's far away from it or anything. But, yes, I agree he is better but only in the sense of his ring IQ. That's all I was getting at, speaking of Evander, Lennox and Wladimir continuing to mature as boxers after their very best physically has past.

He definitely seems to be a nice person, but i wish he'd stop that constant God gobbling. It sounds a bit hollow when you have 70 kids out of wedlock.

I find that a bit annoying too. And now the wife-beating accusations do not seem to help his case on that line either.

I agree with this. Wladimir is mentally in his prime but physically not. He's become a better ring general over the years but isn't anymore in his physical prime. Good observation:good
