For years many Mayweather detractors have diminished Floyd's dominating shutout win against then #2 Pound for Pound fighter in the world Juan Manual Marquez after returning to boxing from a 19 month layoff. Does the current Juan Manuel Marquez that knocked Manny Pacquiao unconscious win a round vs Mayweather unlike the Marquez from 2009?

Dumb ass thread. Styles make fights.

But if Juan uses steroids again and catches Floyd clean with this new found power... Floyd goes zzzzz

Its not proven he was but even if he did he wont hit Mayweather. Mayweather and Pac are on way different levels bro. your trying to compare Pac's defense (which isnt very good) to a top 5 defense All time in Mayweathers.

    Just stop it :hi:

Probably gets beat worse. He looked stronger in that fight, but also looked slower. That wouldn't help him against Mayweather.

Its not a dumb thread. Pac was knocked out by JMM in 2012, Floyd fought JMM in 2009, so clearly JMM was not old in 2009 and has become better since then many would agree. So does the current JMM win a round vs Mayweather?:think

and even Bradley was getting hit. Jmm was able to win a few rounds as well and there were some close rounds that Bradley edged. JMM looked completely lost against Floyd. JMM never tried to avenge that lost which pretty much sums up how he feels his chances would ever be. I feel Floyd took it easy on him because it was his first fight back from a layoff. If Floyd pressed the attack like the Floyd that fought Ortiz or Canelo then I am pretty confident that a TKO would happen, maybe a corner throwing in the towel.

I don't believe the majority of you are boxing fans tbh.

Pacquiao gets this fight, and KO, held against him Vs JMM. Did any of you guys watch that fight? The two guys stood toe to toe in an epic war. Pacquiao looked so much better than he had in previous fights too. Although he was sacrificing defence, I believe he had his foot on the outside this time and was able to land shots (might not have been it). Pacquiao got dropped twice, both in spectacular fashion, and JMM hit the canvas too in such a short fight.

For anyone to hold what we saw from both guys against them, means they aren't a fan of professional boxing.

None the less, JMM of current doesn't touch Mayweather. His style will never match up with May's. JMM looks good on the backfoot (a weakness for Pacquiao) and Mayweather would force him to come forward. He'd miss shots and get countered all night, perhaps even taking a big one to end it.

I don't think anyone is disputing that Pac was getting the better of JMM, BUT JMM did win some rounds, had a 1 punch knockdown which knocked Pac across the ring and a 1 punch knock out that had Manny asleep for 10 minutes. WIth that being said JMM was able to win rounds against Pac, so I am just wondering does this more weight adjusted, stronger JMM win at least 1 round against Floyd today. Thats all :thumbsup

Of course its about styles, but even fighters who have a stye disadvantage are able to win at least 1 round at times. JMM is a great fighter. Are you saying a great fighter would not be able to make even a few minor adjustments to win at least one measly round?:huh
