its quite obvious that Wilder and team are trying to get Marciano’s 49-0 record by fighting bums & tomato cans while avoiding any serious threats.

However, does the draw with Fury make it impossible now?

IMO the draw, while not a loss, is not a win therefore the sequence is broken and the record is now unavailable! The best Wilder can get is 50-1-0 which isn’t the perfect record required to beat Marciano

The Fury fight definitely ruins any chance he had of matching or beating Maricano's perfect 49-0. Especially if you look beyond the stats and recognise that draw should of been a loss on Wilder's record.

Even if you don't believe that with Wilder fighting twice per year he'll be 38 or 39 by the time he gets to 50 wins, does anyone think he can remain undefeated for that long? Even if he keeps cherry picking his way like he has been doing at some point he'll slip up and as he ages those physical advantages he has will diminish and expose his lack of boxing skills at some point.
