...and becomes fighter of the decade just for doing so? Even though Pacquiao lost by knockout just over two years ago?

Seriously, what's with the mental logic? Can you prove you're not gay? Not pedo? Not a bigot? Not a jerk? See how that works?

With JMM, Memo has said that he can't be caught. Do we need to remind ppl that HE was the chemist behind BALCO? He only got away because he turned witness for the Feds. He's rat. A doping rat at that!

No disrespect. A 40 yr old suddenly gaining bulging mass and devastating power that knocks big guys like Alvarado flying across the ring, add memo to the equation and lying about him + a ****ton of acne.

We can't be too naive can we?

To answer the question, it depends but I guess its pretty logical to wait for the year to end before we decide who's fighter of the year right?

It almost certainly won't be Fight of the Year, but barring another fighter having a monster year against more than one p4p quality opponent, the winner will most likely be named fightER of the year.

    Not automatically at all.

What if, for example, Guerrero beats Thurman, Pacquiao beats Mayweather, and then Guerrero KO's Pacquiao in the fall... How exactly would the winner of Mayweather/Pacquiao get Fighter of the Year then?

Having said that, it is more than likely that the winner take home FOTY.

Certainly not automatically. whoever wins will most likely have another fight this year. What if he loses that one?

What i really hope for is a Khan-Brook clash in june with the winner fighting the May-Pac winner in the fall for all the welterweight marbles. Now THAT would crown a guaranteed fighter of the year!

Only idiots who are putting too much emphasis on this fight because its hyper and they have waited so long will vote yes.
    I voted yes.
A lot of factors and we are not giving some possibly more deserved boxers in other divisions enough credit but thats the nature of this fight.
