Does the comprehensive loss by Canelo at his favoured 168 pounds to a guy Crawford who started his career at 135 pounds as a Lightweight damage Canelo’s standing? He clearly thought this was easier money by ducking David Benavidez.

    Let’s debate

Only if you previously considered Canelo to be a top shelf elite fighter. I never did. So to me his stock hasn't dropped much. Crawford is an absolute elite level fighter who did what those kinds of fighters do to a lower level fighter.

No why should a loss to Crawford affect his standing, he fought, he lost end of.
