Does the method Canelo wins tomorrow affect GGG?

So I am going to assume that Bivol doesn't KO Canelo. It could happen of course but I think most believe Canelo gets a decision. If you are Golovkin and you see Canelo getting an unfair decision does that affect your approach in fighting him or possibly even deciding not to fight Canelo feeling like you won't get a fair shake.

2022 Canelo destroys any version of GGG.

Only thing GGG has going for himself is his titanium chin and heart.

This will be like Pacquiao vs Margarito

Naw Gennadiy knows the deal already. Robbery City for all Canelo opponents, whatever happens in the Bivol fight won't change that. G goes for the KO in the trilogy as he should.

It didn't work in 2016, sure as hell won't work with a 2022 Canelo.

I'm not so sure about that. Lets not forget what Marquez did to Pacquiao in their 4th fight who was about the same age then as GGG is now. And Pacquiao was a similar age then to Canelo now. Now I highly doubt GGG could spark Canelo out cold like Marquez did to Pac, Canelo is way better defensively than Pac ever was, BUT GGG could surprise Canelo in a 3rd fight especially after a war with Bivol and Canelo coming back down in weight.

I don't think GGG has regressed very much between 2018-2022. He's pretty well preserved for a 40 year old, and I would expect him to perform as well as he did against Canelo in 2017-2018 if not better. That might sound crazy but think about the experience he got from fighting Canelo, he learned a lot from that and realized his mistakes and has had a lot of time to think about how to correct thoe mistakes and approach Canelo differently this time. I could see GGG be more economical in a 3rd fight which could serve him well, with less weak, ineffective jabs and more well placed power punches. Of course the casuals and even the self deprecating, built in excusemaking GGG fans would expect an easier Canelo win, but with a different trainer, a different approach, and a well preserved GGG he's still, even at 40, arguably the toughest test for Canelo south of 175. Canelo had to fight out of his mind to eek out a razor close decision after a razor close draw, and if GGG hasn't regressed and slowed down much, I would expect the same kind of war a 3rd time.

Much has been made of GGG's age of 40, but there hasn't been the kind of wear and tear on GGG that we've seen in other fighters. Everyone expected Pacquiao to mop the floor with Marquez and have a much easier time beating him a 4th time because he was much younger but we saw what happened to everyone's shock. I wouldn't expect that in Canelo GGG 3, but I would expect GGG to surprise and come just as close to beating Canelo as he did 4-5 years ago. Yes Canelo has become more dominant since then, but he hasn't fought anyone GGG's caliber since then. It's easier to be more dominant against lesser opponents, but against GGG, all we've ever seen is close hard to score rounds between them and there's nothing I've seen since to think a 3rd fight would be any different.

2017! in 2016 Canelo preferred to fight the dangerous Amir Khan.

Canelos best performance was against GGG 1&2. He has not improved. Nowadays he just plods forwards, once in a while moving his head and loops punches at opponents not fighting back. GGG actually fought to win. And they both made for a great fight. Canelos fights bar Billy Joe have been borefest ever since. When's Canelo been in an exciting war ala Inoue Donaire?

2022 Canelo does not have the same output and gas tank as 2016-2018 Canelo. He is a little slower and less nimble. However he has more mustard on his punches and is an even better counter puncher before so that will make GGG more hesistant.

If GGG's legs are gone I think he is a sitting duck for big power counters all night. Somehow he has to push Canelo back or keep resetting him with constant movement so Canelo can't set his feet and volley his power shots.

    It's 70-30 to Canelo.

He is MUCh slower than he was, and even the version that canelo fought was slower than his prime version. GGG has only one chance: to suck up Canelo's space and try slug in the trenches with him.

If Canelo were to KO Bivol inside say 7 or 8 rounds I'd say GGG might have to reassess fighting him. Canelo might want that fight to take place at 175 for his belt.

Absolutely not. It's a lottery ticket. Who cares what the judges think? He won't stay there anyway.

    What's Clenelo's best win?

Oops.. it's clearly a way past prime GGG who he shamelessly ducked until he saw the signs of ageing and decline he'd been biding his time waiting for and it's not even a legit win and everyone knows he lost the first fight big and the only official win his has over him is over a way past prime noticeably declined GGG who he had to jack himself full of PEDs with because having the judges in his pocket, his size and youth advantages (he would've had a significant weight advantage in both fights) weren't enough of an advantage for him.

And even worse, despite now claiming he wants to punish GGG for his ''disrespect,'' which translates to GGG 100% justifiably and understandably voicing his disgust at being robbed of his biggest win and a huge part of his legacy and Clen jacking himself full of PEDs for the rematch, as I told you all he would, has ducked and aged out GGG even more, waiting until the old man is even older, a decrepit over 40 + y/o, even though it has been by far the biggest, must lucrative fight out there for him and the public interest and demand was huge.

And even then, despite his stacked to heaven deck, his judges in his pocket, his size, youth and PED advantages he could still only scrape by that old past prime clean GGG by a single point of two of the judge's cards.

His best win is by far an old past prime clean GGG who he was younger and heavier than and jacked himself silly with PEDs for and he only scraped by him 115-113 and 114-114

I don't think Golovkin suddenly develops a limp or an eye twitch whatever the outcome of the fight... so no!

    Yes,
    if he sparks Bivol out
No one will want to see him vs GGG
If he barley squeaks by , I personally will still want to see him fight for LHW undisputed.
If he loses then I think the GGG fight will gain relevancy & will then become a topic
    Buzzing & worth more discussion.

Huge misconception. I've not noticed any improvement since the last GGG vs. Canelo fight in Canelo's game in fact he looks like he's abandoned a lot of his skills and head movement just goes for power now.

Canelo won't beat Golovkin or Bivol easily as things stand and could potentially lose to either one.
