Increase Carl Frochs chances of making the semi finals with remaining fights against Kessler and Abraham?

Two fights which most of us would of belived he had no chance in are now against 2 fighters who have just been completely exposed.

    I won $$ on the Dirrell-Abraham outcome....
but there really should be a rematch with this.

Ref Lawrence Cole was running out of ways to **** Abraham over.
Not counting the knock down, stopping Abraham's activity twice while he was in the middle of forcing his will in the fight.

This fight just left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Any fight where Lawrence Cole is the ref should leave a bitter taste in a person's mouth.
How the hell does this guy get to ref outside of Texas?
Red flags went up right away as soon as I saw he was the ref.

It was well known that Abraham would look bad against a fast boxer (vs. slugger). I actually expected Abraham to be in trouble vs. Taylor, but he was too shot to create any trouble other than for the first few rounds.

Styles make fights. Froch may look much worse against Abraham than Dirrell did.

Froch will have to box Abraham and strategically run all night, if he chooses to fight and slug it out toe-to-toe with him he will lose.

    Completely exposed?
    Bull****.

I'm tired of halfwits commenting on fighters by saying "exposed" after every ****ing loss. Stay with mma.

Sometimes ESB seems like it's getting better, then other times comments like this keep surfacing.

No, Abraham wasn't exposed. After that knock down of Dirrell it really was only a matter of time. Abraham has the type of power that when he hits you it changes you in that fight. Dirrell was woozy ever since that knockdown (that the idiot Cole ruled not a knock down).

say what?? abraham grazed him at most and the knockdown reall occured from their legs getting tangled up. and dirrell popped right back up, he was far from being "woozy" or out of it. lol, its THESE kind of comments that set ESB back:-(

    He wasn't exposed?

He got bashed up, got knocked down for the first time in his career, lost his undefeated record and if that wasn't bad enough and Dirrell walked through some of his big shots, danced around him and made him look stupid and pitched almost a complete shut out till AA took the cheap way out and got himself DQ'd.

Thats about as exposed as it can ever get.

Exposed in my book means that something previously thought about a fighter (good chin, good defense, good foot work or whatever) is exposed as being completely lacking and incorrect. Exposed means that whatever we thought about a fighter previously was a big misconception.

With that in mind, Dirrell outran, outsped and outboxed Abraham.

Did anybody think Abraham was overly fast on his feet? Did anybody think he's a technically great boxer? A guy that is impossible to get outboxed? Anybody with half a brain knew that Abraham would be in trouble against a fast, technically sound boxer with good stamina and fast feet.

So explain to me exactly how Abraham was exposed? What was our misconception about him? He looked just like he always did to me.

Have you forgotten about when Dirrell knocked Abraham and only the ropes held him up? That should of been ruled a knockdown aswell and it wasn't so the score is settled. The knockdown of Dirrell was legit but he did trip at the same time, he wasn't hurt in the slightest because as he was going down he was using his arms to balance himself and get back up. He wasn't woozy, he was getting tired after beating Abraham up for ten rounds, he was starting to run it out abit and who can blame him when he has the fight comfortably won?
Abraham did get exposed, exposed for the classless coward he is. And he has obviously been overrated around here so he was exposed in that sense aswell. EXPOSED

What a bunch of non-sense. Tell me exactly where our previous assessment of Abraham's strengths and weaknesses was completely off-base? Which of his technical skills do we now think of differently?

Do we now think he's not the amazing technical prodigy we thought he was? Are we now shocked he can't outspeed a fast runner-boxer? Or was all this well-known for years. Abraham looked just as helpless for a while against a shot Taylor for Christ's sake.

This only comes as news to those newbies who just looked at Abraham's boxrec stats but never took the time to watch a single one of his fights. To anybody with half a brain the way Abraham could be outdanced and outboxed was no surprise at all.

Yeah, I think Froch should be viewed as having a much better chance of beating those guys than he did going in. I would still make Abraham and Kessler the favorites, but not by as much as before.

Can you not read? I said OVERRATED. I thought Dirrell would win but people around here, the majority in fact claim that Abraham is a monster with terrific boxing skills and explosive power who was gonna get Dirrell out of there early on. He was exposed for what he is to 95% of the people round here. I understand that you knew what Abraham was all along aswell so here's your pat on the back *pat*. Now calm down and relax.
