Does the speed at which Wilder-Fury signed prove that AJ ducked Wilder?

Nahhh, i think the opposite. Usually when an American is the A side the B side has to bow to their demands if they want the oppertunity. When an American is the B side the None American A side is expected to meet them in the middle. Wilder has the resume of a very protected fighter and its because his resume is so poor that he doesnt have even half of what Joshua has got in terms of money and belts. Why should Joshua have to compensate for Wilder being protected for years when Joshua has put all the work and time and promotion time in. If Wilder thinks he can beat Joshua go to the UK and knock him out and then Wilder then becomes a massive real deal in the States and world wide. He calls Hearns offer chicken feed when its 7x more than hes ever earnt in a fight.

So yes Joshua could of done more to make this fight happen but offering Wilder the chance to take all the belts off him and become undisputed champ and the chance to earn only 1 million less than hes earnt in the entirety of his pro career in 1 fight, 7x his previous highest pay day seems pretty good to me. On top of that they are also willing to listen to Finkel and Wilders complaints but Finkel wont respond to Hearns emails. There have been plenty of good Boxers who took a poor offer to take a shot at greatness, Wilders got the chance to take the shot at greatness here and the offer isnt even that poor.

If I were Wilder and I really did believe i could stop Joshua id of took that deal. Some Americans need to realise that the rest of the Boxing world is looking on the USA as the Mecca of cheating and corruption in the sport, maybe its harder to see it from the inside but the rest of can see just how bad it has got over recent years, i think Joshua cares more about the belts than the money so even if the fight could possibly make more money in America he knows home advantage is vital, you dont want to be facing an American for all the belts in the lawless wild west if you can help it. But then I also think Finkel is desperate for the fight to be made in America for those exact same reasons.

 

Doesn't the fact that they announced it a month ahead of having a date and a venue sorted go towards the contrary considering that was the hangup on negotiations with Joshua?

I thought it was obvious why the fught didnt happen yet.....hearn would not allow that fight to hapoen unless it is on DAZN....team wilder would probanly insist Showtime got the US rights

Na it goes to bids. There was was interview with Espinoza a few weeks ago and he said showtime wanted AJ v Povetkin and still want AJ it's just they missed out. DAZN will still have to pay the most to get AJ's fights

No. Wilder's team turned down two contract offers. The third is still currently there for them to sign but Wilder's team instead of officially replying back to Matchroom have instead come out to the media stating they want more money. Whilst Wilder's only "offer" (although they never sent a contract to Matchroom) was a propaganda act that was totally void as the offer included it to be shown on BT.
