I think this is about how far out we were when the last one got cancelled. The Wilder Povetkin fight was only about a week out, though.

I have a slightly better feeling this time,
think it's 50/50, but still voted no. I just can't really believe Wilder fights a top opponent like this in a non cash out situation until it actually happens.

Dustin Nicholls will go to the WBC and sue if Zelenoff jumps the queue for a rematch

There are some highly exciting Wilder rematches this year guys. We are being spoilt.

I have faith in this fight happening this time. But i feel we can thank Ortiz for not looking very impressive in his last few fights. Had he looked a dangerous monster this fight would not be happening.

Ortiz best W is by far, Bryant Jennings, who gave away his reach/jab advantage and seemed lost when he was being bossed in Ortiz wheelhouse.
He got clipped on the button early, adopting a similar plan as his fights against Byarm and Szpilka.
Jennings has also noticably slipped. Lack of hunger my guess.
Still.... Ortiz has not made any significant $$$, been suspended multiple times for as much as 7X the normal TIE, triggering further testing and exposing him of serious blood doping.
He's looking in the neighborhood of 1/2 mil(????)
Just having lost his last 2 shots at a money fight....

He's going through full test withdrawal as his natural test is significantly lowered from the doping.
He's still gonna have the solid fundamentals, but everything he's built his confidence on is GONE.
    He's coming for a check.

    Nothing more.

Gonna take Wilder sleeping on the counter L to win this.
And for 5/6 rds..Wilder will box from the other side of the ring.
Old Ortiz gonna be busted up by the jab, tired and down big on the cards.
Those chicken legs gonna crumble in 7/8

Breazeale is waiting to the called, he is owned by Haymon, been knocked out by Joshua, so he qualifies, but since Ortiz is an Old Man, many claim he is almost 50 years old, on blood pressure medicine, Lipitor, uses a walker, but they will take the walker away from his, Ortiz' sparring in the nursing home is not going well, 90 year old sparring partners are keeping up with him though.................AARP will be at the fight cheering from him, but still, if he looks good, Breazeale will substitute..............

I hope you have it wrong. I was/am more hyped for this than AJ/Parker, I expect a hungry Ortiz to show up ready to make the most of the opportunity of his career. Glad we both at least envisage the fight actually taking place.

You are more hyped for a illiterate can crusher with mental issues vs a grandad who has survived 2 world wars (actually sounds pretty interesting), than 2 legit heavyweight champs unifying?

    Get the f*** outta here!!!

Providing Ortiz doesn't fail a drug test I think it will.

Nah. I think Breazeale's the real opponent all along. That's what happened the last time with Ortiz, when Stiverne name was still being bandied around.

There'll be some injury or other BS to derail this, I have no doubt.

lol this, Ortiz was doing some HARD PEDs too not some stupid meldonium.
Wilder is NOT losing to another Haymon fighters, period, end of.
Haymon doesn't design things that way.
