Does the Winner of Fury v Wilder 2 have a claim to have the best resume in the Heavyweight?

Assuming the fight is on track to go ahead. I don't care much for resumes but it's always brought up in the forum.

Joshua arguably has the best resume at the moment, with his top 3 wins being Wlad, Povetkin and Parker.

If Tyson wins his top 3 wins will have Wlad, Wilder and Chisora.

Or if Wilder wins he'll have Fury, Ortiz and Stiverne as his top 3 wins.

Are these enough to claim their resume is better than Joshua's?

IMO it overtakes AJ because they are both Prime undefeated champions/former champions.. having either on their resume really strengthens the resume. Both are above Parker and Wlad/Povetkin were past prime.

    Thoughts?

Maybe for Fury, not if Wilder wins IMO.

If Wilder wins, AJ would still have a better overall resume, imo.

Id still give it to AJ over Fury as well but its obviously closer.

Absolutely. It will be the first of any of the big 3 to beat the other of the big 3, along with their best wins so far would have to be enough to take the overall spot. AJ has it now, but seriously - there is no way that someone beating AJ, Wilder or Fury doesn't take that.

    I would say yes

AJs loss, even though now corrected, is still a loss to a contender that was not held in that high acclaim

Some say a loss doesn’t that mean much, but given that fury and Wilder are both undefeated, I would say AJs loss would put him behind the winner of this fight

Wilder has beaten Ortiz twice, and fury was the one that dethroned Klitschko after ten yrs

The winner of fury wilder II will certainly be the number one heavyweight, in my opinion

Completely agree. Fury and Wilder are the biggest scalps in the division atm since Ruiz got AJ

Resume did and dat but one thing is for sure , Fury and Wilder did not spit their mouth piece and quit against a non ranked fat sub who was picked to loose.

If Fury wins, definetly. If Wilder wins decisively, he won’t have the best overall resume but will have a strong claim for the best HW in the world.

I watched the AJ vs Klitschko fight again at the weekend, klitschko must still be kicking himself for not getting AJ out of there in the 5th round

Wilder and Fury have such poor resumes compared to Joshua, that it would make no difference at all.

Fury beat Wlad before AJ and he beat Wilder already on any fair scorecard. He has a solid resume - if he won again he’s in the argument but I would still slightly lean Joshua.

Wilder has Ortiz 2 times, and the first Stiverne fight. The rest of his resume is poor. If he won this fight no his resume is not the best.

AJ, had Wlad after Fury turned the trick on the aging hall of famer he also has a prime Parker, a post prime Povetkin, an undefeated Whyte and a cut below always competitive but never winning Carlos Takam.
Throw in the avenging win against Ruiz and Joshua clearly has the best resume. No matter the result of Fury vs Wilder 2.

Having Stiverne as one of your 3 best wins says it all.

It's gets even worse if you say what are the top FIVE wins.

Wlad, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz is much more impressive.

Why is Alexander Povetkin rated so highly? He held the WBA (regular) title and he hasn't beat any truly great boxers, but a bunch of gatekeepers and massively over-the-hill boxers. I'm not saying he's not a high level boxer, but he isn't all he's cracked up to be.

he should be kicking Vitali. he's the one who told him to not go for the kill oddly enough, he told Wlad that "Joshua will gas out eventually"..... Worst advice ever. come on Vitali lol
