Brewster certainly was no journeyman, he had a better sustained run at heavy than most 2000 era fighters. It just sounds more degrading to lump all the men who beat Wlad under the journeyman banner.
I'll try Wlad was falling into every turnbuckle in the ring against purity. He would have fallen out the ring if the ropes weren't holding him up. You may call that fighting, but then you don't know the first that about boxing apart from Wlads dirty jock strap
Sanders forever tarnished Wlad via epic beat down. He made him look soft, weak and unskilled. If anyone deserves credit besides simple luck that Wlad was around as long as he was, it was ES.
Quite amusing. Watch the end of the fight again. Wlad was on his feet and visibly angry that his corner stopped the fight. Doesn't change anything I said either- 9 and half years as best heavyweight on planet.
Didn't say that. I said he was on his feet and disappointed in the stoppage. I have no fault with it. 9 and half years best heavy weight on planet.
You said he was in the fight when it was stopped. He wasn't. The only fight left in him , was the fight to remain vertical. You keep repeating this. Saying it over and over doesn't make it better than it was. It wasn't impresive at the time and its even less impressive now that Fury put an end to it.
Hard to be better than it was nine and half years as the best heavyweight on the planet. But thanks for playing.
Mormeck , Peter , Thompson's , Pianeta's , Leapai , Haye .. Stuff legends are made of right there:rofl
During an era barren of any quality including the KO Bros! It's also a heavyweight reign that's turned more boxing fans off than even the drug and råpë tainted early 80s. Wlad more than anyone else is responsible for Heavyweight World Title fights attracting zero TV coverage outside of Germany/Ukrain and for media reports on Heavyweight defences being reduced to a two line footnote 8 pages inside the newspapers after the darts & dominoes results. He's nowhere near an ATG!
