Does this footage prove Joyce had a glass chin?

You know what is even more funny? How the same people who say Joyce has a granite chin because he took average punching Joseph Parker's punchers but got iced 3 times as a 27 amateur are the same people who will say Lennox Lewis has a glass chin even though he was only stopped two times. The same people will say Ken Norton couldn't take a punch even though 3 of his loses were to guys who had incredible power. These same people will say Tommy Morrison couldn't take a punch. Each of these guys were stopped without headgear with pro boxing gloves which are hard.

You know what is even more funny? How these Joyce fans act like putting weight on your stomach makes your chin better. If that is the case then Jarrell Miller has the greatest chin in the history of boxing. He was never knocked down as a pro.

 

Um Lewis got up. Lol and McCall and Rahman were journeyman? Then what is Kuzmin then? What is Hamzan Beguerni then? This guy wasn't even a good amateur. He has 1win in his amateur career and that was knocking out Joe "My Jaw is Glass" Joyce. Lewis was knocked out by two hard punching heavyweights. I would rather be knocked out by McCall and Rahman two legit pros who can punch than get knocked out by tomato cans like Kuzmin and Beguerni.

 

Daniel Dubois landed several clean heavy shots on Joyce, watch it back, Joyce ate them. As limited as Daniel is, I think he is one of the hardest punchers in the division. Watch his knockouts compared to someone like AJ, yeah it might sound like I'm taking the ****, but , Dubois' punches look much more concussive and one shot power than AJs. In terms of HW with power, Dubois can be grouped as the heavy hitters alongside Makhmudov, Wilder (right hand), AJ, Whyte (left hook), Ortiz and Hrgovic - IMO out of these listed only Wilder and Makhmudov hit consistently harder than Dubois,

Usyk or Fury (the title holders) do not punch harder than Dubois. Much more skilled though, no doubt, and is not to say they couldnt beat KO Joyce. Usyk i beleive could force a TKO...Don't think Joyce would get Tko'd by Fury

 

Joshua has fought better people than Dubois. Who is Daniel knocking out? Bogdan Dinu and Trevor Bryan? Dubois has yet to knock out anybody who was known for their durability. You people love to just make stuff up to prove your point.

So now I can’t make an assessment of Dubois’ power (which is my point) because …? Look at AJs knockouts earlier in his career his power is evidently not as concussive or as one shot as Dubois’ power . Babble on all you like you’re wrong . Dubois hits as hard,I’d argue harder than Joshua (if you don’t agree with either, then Dubois is undeniably a heavy handed power puncher). Joyce also took clean bombs from Dubois. Can you refute these two points? If you cannot address them directly then I’m afraid you have to concede that you are in fact wrong

Any of you guys heard of an amateur stoppage? It’s also not unheard of iron jawed guys getting knocked down. Froch against Groves for example. Ali against the smaller LHW Frazier

Lol Joe Frazier weighed 205 pounds. Deontay Wilder weighs 205 pounds. So I guess Wilder is a light heavyweight too? Second Ali didn't fight Frazier as a amateur.

The point is Joyce was dropped in less than 30 seconds with headgear on, with bigger amateur gloves when he was 27 years old. The point is Joyce also got knocked out 2 other times in less than 30 seconds as a 27/28 year old amateur.

 

Everything you type is just your opinion. You want to believe that Joyce has a great chin. So to fit that narrative you will say whatever you think will help your case. The fact is Joshua has knocked out and knocked down better fighters than the fighters Dubois has as a pro.If you think Daniel looked more explosive fighter tomato cans then good for you. It still won't change facts. Dubois has yet to knocked out anybody who is worth mentioning.

I won't change the fact that a 27 year old Joyce was stopped 3 times a amateur in 30 second or less while wearing protective headgear and while being hit by much bigger padded gloves.

 

Yeah Joyce has more than proven chin by never facing a elite puncher as a pro. Also the clip wasn't edited. Joyce was stopped in 30 seconds. Also 9 years ago Joyce was still 27/28 years old so a grown man. Also not shown in the video is that fact Joyce was knocked out 2 other times in less than 30 seconds as a amateur while wearing protective headgear and bigger padded amateur style gloves.

 

Since his amateur stoppage losses Joyce has faced bigger punchers and held up fine so it seems reasonable to question the relevance of those earlier fights to his current durability.

Larry Holmes was brutally knocked out by Nick Wells twice in the amateurs but proved hard to stop as a pro.

As far as not being a proven puncher Gerry Cooney didn't stop people ranked in the top 10 so by that logic what makes him a puncher
