Before the fight, everyone from Mosley, to Cotto, to Mayweather have been wanting a piece of Pacquiao. We've all basically laughed them off as money grubbers looking for an easy payday, but did this fight change your opinion on the matter? Would Mosley, Cotto, and Mayweather look like cowards fighting Pacquiao or has he proven that he is a credible threat to welterweights and is a dangerous opponent to them?
I dunno I mean hatton struggled against the weaker welters. Pacman is definitely legit welter though but as to whether he can have that sort of devastating effect on welters like cotto mayweather mosley etc is anyones guess. I mean may mosley cotto etc would have taken care of hatton early in the same fashion too.
OK. Now I know I'm really chugging the PacMan KoolAid here but can you blame me coming off THAT performance! After watching that, you feel like there's NOTHING this freak of nature can't do. I don't know that Cotto would have a chance against my man. I watched him struggle with Ricardo Torres and watching Pac tonight, I don't think Cotto could weather "The Tsunami". Mosley & Mayweather would definitely pose a more serious threat. Still I'm looking forward to Pacquiao vs. Klitschko in January!
It makes him a legit threat to a smaller welterweight like Floyd Mayweather for sure... not sure about the rest of the bigger more natural welterweights though.
well only a legit fight at 147 can prove that. i think he'll be at the very least competitive with the smaller welters out there, well basically anybody not named paul williams could fight pac at welter and be in a really good tough fight. but in all honesty, i cant see pac facing anyone at welter except for jmm and pbf. he can get as much money as fighting mosley if he fought someone like valero at 140 and valero is a lot less dangerouns
Well I didn't buy all the talk Hatton was stronger. I said it more than once that was not a certainty and Pac showed he was just as strong, stronger actually. I think he could perform well against top WW's but that would be because he has the skill to overcome the size difference. I don't know if I'd feed him to a Cotto or Mosley. Not saying he would not do well. Fighting Floyd, they are closer in size and that is legitimate, although we'll probably here the same old line again, even with Floyd, that Pac won't be big enough.
No promoter would want Pac to fight Valero yet! I'd like to see it but that's way too much risk without enough reward! If he's going to fight someone very dangerous then at least make it Cotto or Shane so he gets paid!atsch
