LOL, as I stated before Bisping was flattened in one round by tubby, it's Bisping. No the Bisping win doesn't make GSP the goat, lol. It was a nice tuneup type fight.

This whin enhances Gastelum and Weidman, it doesn't detract from GSP at all.

GSP came out of a 4 year retirement, moved up in weight and beat the reigning champion.

And Gastellum further showed us the quality of that reigning champion.

Ermmm not really. Many champions lose their comeback fight, especially with a 3 week camp against a prime contender.

What GSP did will likely never be repeated again.

The ufc will have to really search down the roster to find Bisping a winnable fight for his swansong in the UK early next year. Even a Bisping-Belfort fight might mean Bisping gets wreaked in the first rd but I would probably pick him to beat Belfort IF he survives the first rd.

Bispings loss in Shanghai had a lot to do with how good his opponent is, I think Gastelum deserves a little more credit then he is getting here with former champ Weidman the only person to clearly beat him. I would favour him to beat anybody in the Middleweight division outside the top 5 and if he was able to get back down to Welterweight he probably would be top 5,he was unlucky not to beat the current champ Woodley in 2015.

Imo at 170 Gastelum would be a legit threat to win the title if he was disciplined with diet/training which he isn't obviously. He is WAY too small for middleweight. He is ridiculously undersized.

GSP was the greatest UFC fighter of all time without this fight. This fight only adds to his legacy and takes nothing away. You can argue GSP is the best mixed martial artist ever. His record is insane. I've heard of almost every fighter on it. If you look at his record on wikipedia today, only one of his opponent's is without his own wikipedia page. There is virtually no fluff to his career.

That said, GSP is currently the weakest two division champion in UFC history.

Randy Couture was a heavyweight champ with wins over Belfort, Maurice Smith, Randleman, Rizzo and Sylvia. Couture defeated Tito Ortiz, Chuck Liddell and Vitor Belfort as light heavyweight champion. Yeah Belfort is in there twice. Drugs, talent...whatever

BJ Penn is a legend at lightweight and defeated welterweight legend, Matt Hughes, for his welterweight belt.

Conor McGregor beat AtG, Jose Aldo, for his featherweight crown. You can still argue Aldo is the best fighter to ever compete in that division. McGregor defeated Eddie Alvarez for his lightweight title. Alvarez had taken the title from RDJ, who was riding an incredible string of wins over top contenders.

GSP is the greatest welterweight in MMA history. Michael Bisping won the middleweight title fair and square, but we all know he wasn't the best middleweight in the world. GSP gamed his middleweight belt. Every other multi divisional, UFC, champion defeated the best fighters in each division they championed. Not GSP. GSP beat a champion that most/all of the top 10 in division could defeat. GSP defeated a champion that was a former training partner, with an idea of how they would match up together. GSP defeated a fighter, that while even being inactive for years, he knew he could beat. Without a legitimate win over a top tiered fighter at 185, GSP is the first UFC fighter to game a title in a different weight class.
