Let's be honest, nobody is going to give Fury much credit for beating Joshua because Joshua destroyed his reputation with the Ruiz disgraces. If Joshua got KO'd by Wilder in a shootout, it wouldn't do him too much harm, but the Ruiz saga is a dark stain that will never go away. And Joshua better hope Arreola or some such doesn't beat Ruiz ... not out of the question! If Fury beats Joshua, people will believe Joshua was always a bully fighter hype job.

If Joshua beats Fury, however, the English will make statues out of their idol. Fury's resume will suddenly be not too shabby, and they'll put two Wilder wins on Joshua's Boxrec, because he definitely would've beaten Wilder if Fury did.

The funny thing is Fury is going to do such a job on him people will be forced to denigrate AJ's ability not give Fury props for being an ATG top 10 titan.

Typically its hard for HWs to enter the p4p rankings but whatever guy wins surely deserves a place in the top 10 somewhere.

Maybe Joshua would deserve a higher ranking P4P because of all the Ring ranked opponents in the top 10 he will have beaten.

If the fight does happen it will be the first time the #1 and #2 fought since 1999 Lewis vs Holyfield. The victor walks away the best HW since Lewis , more then likely Fury.

I like Fury and I think he will beat Joshua, but damn, some of his hanger-ons make it hard to wave the flag

You can hang three fully grown men off each of Fury's arms

    AJ can only hold two

    Harsh.

So by that token then Lennox Lewis has a dark stain on his record that can never be erased because he was KO'd in just 2 rounds by Oliver McCall? Of course not, Lewis is held in high esteem these days.

Had Joshua not rematched Ruiz then yes it would be a big black mark but he beat the man in the rematch, regardless of what condition Ruiz was in. Clearly NO fault of Joshua's if Ruiz turned up as an even more overweight fat blob. Is it any worse than Lewis's rematch when McCall broke down in the ring? Hell no, Joshua dominated his rematch and clearly won.

I get it that some people just hate Joshua but there is a massive agenda on this board against him. If he did beat Fury there would be all kinds of excuses why from some people.

If Aj beats him the excuses will fly. They'll say "Fury was inactive, 2015 Fury schools Joshua" or "the Fury that beat Wilder beats Joshua" :risas3:

Im just going to put my honest opinion put there. If Fury shows up at 250lb planning to box and Joshua shows up as he normally does at around 245 or less then the fight is 50/50. But i have a strong feeling Fury will show up a lot heavier than that.

I've always had a gut feeling that when they get in the ring. Joshua's going to break him down and win by late TKO. When i play this fight in my head and envision the styles, i see Joshua applying educated pressure and working the body of Fury. While Fury tries to keep himself at long range jabbing, feinting and reading Ajs moves and counters and clinch when Aj gets on the inside.

If AJ beats Tyson Fury we would have seen the greatest fight of all time.

So many guys will look exactly like Wilder fans did a year ago after this fight. The rats will jump ship quickly and a lot of them won't be heard from again. The inactivity excuse will be most of what we will hear. Then when Fury losses the second fight, He will never be near the top spot again

He easily becomes in the top 3 P4P rotation.

 then you are creating someone who has no ability to exist due to physical limits. If anything, what you are doing is showing why P4P lists are pointless.

 Do you get joy out of saying nothing relevent???

    It's a good question.

Fury, big as he is, could gain consideration, though if he beat AJ then we'd need to see an active champion. Saying adios after proving you're the best isn't enough. Not for a 270 lbs. man.

Excuses will fly from both sets of fans boys if their hero doesn't win

Some Joshua fans probably would be making excuses but i dont see what they'd say. Fury is the clear favorite. Maybe "he didn't recover from the Ruiz fight" ?

Idk i think if Joshua lost people would just move on from him and start praising Fury to go down as the next all time great. I can definitely see it happening.
