Why is this knockdown different to the one AJ suffered against Wlad and was the shot Ortiz hurt Wilder with more powerful than this sloppy shot?

It happens, I believe it's safe to say Furys chin isn't granite but I don't think it's brittle.

But anybody can be hit and hurt, Froch was dropped by Jermain Taylor who isn't exactly a huge hitter and Froch's chin was regarded as granite.

Fury's chin is solid. Cunningham completely loaded up on that overhand right and Fury was standing straight up with his hands down and took it flush, which is why he got knocked down. However, Fury quickly got to his feet and easily outboxed and stopped Cunningham after the knockdown. If Fury struggled to get to his feet or was shaken up I'd question his chin, but for the most part Fury easily shook off the punch.

Joshua on the otherhand was dropped by a straight right hand and was clearly hurt against Wlad. But, I'll give credit where credit is due, since Joshua did show rings smarts by going down and taking the count instead of being brave and risking getting knocked out while he was rocked.

Wilder wasn't really hurt by just one of Ortiz's punches. Ortiz throughout the fight kept landing straight lefts on Wilder and outjabbing him, which gradually softened Wilder up in the later rounds, but Wilder's stamina left him with more than enough fight to still end Ortiz.

If Wilder bombs him with one of those juicy right hands, it's over lol.

It's not always a sign of a bad chin if they go over and recover like Fury did. I'd say his chin is ok. Could Wilder stop him, if he catches him flush, yeah.
Could Tyson stop Wilder...I'd say yes, but less likely.

It's decent. He's been dropped but not looked hurt and got up fairly quickly. Hasn't been hit by a decent HW puncher yet though...

Yes it is 100% suspect. That is, I 100% suspect it to be granite.

This thread should be about how insanely Mack The Mack was for putting his hands down, squaring up and letting his opponent land a free bomb on his chin. Sometimes a Mack like The Mack just gotta let you know how Mack Mack really is.

You people are ridiculous, getting dropped means you have a bad chin now?

Not getting up again, or getting up on legs like stilts are more indicative of a suspect chin than being clipped, going down and getting right back up again with no apparent effect. Sometimes it seems people think real boxing is like a video game. Maybe the networks could introduce a stamina bar....

He got fully floored by cunninghams best overhand right

    his eyes were glazed over

He then got hit by another left hook and right hand

he stay standing without much trouble...no wobbles...

When Wilder gets hurt his legs stiffen badly...AJ or fury would have no problem pushing him over like Wlad used to do.

Either way Fury's defensive ability is second to none. The only fights Fury has ever really gone in and respected the guy off the bat was Chisora and Wlad.

Fury has been down twice from punches from 2 guys who are not punchers. Cunningham and Pajkic both dropped him heavily with overhand rights.

This obviously suggests he doesn't have an iron chin, if he's ever caught by similar shots from actual big punchers like Joshua or Wilder, suffice to say, it's unlikely he survives it. But he actually has to get caught for that to happen and he's more elusive now than he was back then, at least he was just before he won the title.

Non puncher nikolai firtha also had fury out on his feet from a right hand, fury took a while to recover. He's been hurt and dropped by light hitters but he gets a pass on it just like he gets a pass for being drug cheat
