Given his height and weight makes it even more remarkable

You have fighters like ali but ali was small compared to fury it doesnt make it special ...

i dont think any heavyweight fighter in history moved like this man

For his size yes and his stamina is GOAT'd.

What's really remarkable is how it took him only about 4 years of pro fighting to gain that footwork co-ordination. When he was green his feet weren't quite there yet and he would be behind lots of opponents with the footspeed. Now he can pre-empt and out position, on an off night he doesn't rely on his footspeed though which comes with his ability to pre-empt. He'll end up flat footed and just slog it out.

    For his size, no.

However there have been lots of fleet footed HW boxers out there.

On Fury's level at 275 pounds?

    ZERO.

Next best is Usyk and he's a bloated 220 pounds. I can't think of a single modern or historical heavy above 220 who is even near Fury historically. Holmes maybe, 225 pounds. Prime Mike rounds 1-6 which is basically a mythical creature, kind of like Usyk for 6 rounds...in till they SLOW.

Based on how Fury's been ducking/hiding/sliding against Usyk for the past couple years I'd say yes, Fury does have the best movement of a big man.

Your thread title asks about "any heavyweight fighter in history. Then the first thing you do is eliminate consensus top two heavyweight Muhammad Ali because he was "small compared to Fury"

So are you actually asking if Tyson Fury is the best moving heavyweight among those 6'6" and taller and 250 lbs or more. If so, that's a very small group of fighters within the history of the heavyweight division. So yes, he is the best moving big man amongst that tiny group of men.

For being as big as he is, yes. Not even close. Like a boxing Fred Astaire.

No. But, his ability to move out of the way of competitive fights is impressive, nonetheless.

For his size, nobody moved like Fury.

Ali moved better but he was nothing like Fury's size.

For Ali's size he was very special indeed at the time. But heavyweights have grown bigger every generation since and most have been plodders. Fury is a modern day exception.

Dustin Nichols is still pound for pound the most athletic fighter I ever seen.... Too bad he was 200lbs fatter than Andy Ruiz..

Compare him to Usyk and ask that question seriously.
