Does Tyson Fury Knocking out Wilder make Luis Ortiz more overated ?

I think he's a little overrated. He's ranked 4th by Ring Magazine and that seems a bit high considering how thin his resume is and that he has 2 losses in recent years and he's not had a decent win in years as he's feasted on journeymen apart from the 2 losses to Wilder.

I think he's living off the past Jennings win which in light of Jennings losses to Rivas and Joyce doesn't look so good now and the fact he gave Wilder problems in a losing effort.

His supporters will say those 2 Wilder fights prove he belongs at the top level, but there's a risk in assessing a fighter off losing efforts alone. Jennings too gained much credit from a losing effort and look what happened since, every time he's stepped up he's lost and that's the same with Ortiz. Ortiz maybe a top 5 heavyweight, but he has the resume of a gate keeper until he actually beats a top fighter, I don't think you can put him in the same bracket as guys like Joshua, Fury, Wilder, Whyte, Parker and Ruiz who all have at least 1 good win over a currently highly ranked heavyweight.

So I'd say at best he's 5th at worst he's maybe 7th and if Usyk beats Chisora which is likely then I'd push him down to 8th.

 

The only thing Ortiz has ever done in his career is to show us how much past it Klitschko was against Jennings.
And that he is a big dummy for rejecting the Joshua offer.
