Nah, I think Ali's clowning, spoiling, punch resistance and accurate straight punching and movement almost guarantees that Tyson would be dominated by Ali. It's a matchup that is psychologically and stylistically a nightmare.

Muhammad had no great issues with another peek-a-boo stylist sharing Tyson's speed, and demonstrated his mastery of that method twice. Norton and Frazier deployed very different techniques.

Frazier was much tougher, durable and had a lot more stamina than Mike ever showed in any fight in his career. I think Tyson would get dropped the exact same way against 1973 Foreman if Big George lands the same uppercut shots that he did to Frazier. I don't know if Mike has the heart or toughness to get up six times though. Needless to say, Foreman to this day knows and stated that he didn't fight the best version of Frazier, knowing that Joe was ready to be had after the FOTC, yet was still scared of fighting Frazier, but stopped him in two rounds.

Ali did eat punches from Frazier and Norton. George never landed the hard shots on Ali that he did knocking out Frazier and Norton. Ali blocked practically all of Foremans big punches, most of which landed on his elbows and hips when George tried to go to the body in Zaire.

No way Tyson is out-throwing and out-landing Ali over 12 rounds. End of thread.

Unlike Tyson, Frazier was a volume puncher who went to the body relentlessly, breaking fighters down. Even at his best, Tyson only went to the body sporadically to set up a combination.
