You don't end anything around here. Why don't you pause this thread in your mind, go watch some Mike Tyson fights, and report back to us. :smooch

His performances against Spinks, Marvis Frazier, and Berbick are all awesome displays of destructiveness. :good

See there's your double standards again.

You don't like me referring to Charles as an old, past his best, 0.50, former LHW. All of that is true. Every word.

Tyson had thrown away his fundamentals but he was still a very dangerous proposition for a man as small as Ezzard or Archie.

He'll, had he landed his uppercut 30 seconds earlier against Douglas we probably wouldn't be arguing this point now.

The reality is, the Charles on display here could not handle the power or pressure of the Tyson on display. The sooner you accept it, the sooner we can put this thread to bed.

I think Ezzard Charles was a bit past prime against Marciano but I think Marciano really ruined him.
Charles was still a hell of a fighter for those 15 rounds in their first fight. After that fight however, he was done.

Charles had been KO'd by Walcott but he looked okay in the rematch and took Walcott to a close 15 round decision. losses to Harold Johnson and Nino Valdes could easily have been wins, they were razor close. They were both pretty good opponents.
Charles wasn't prime but he wasn't shot yet. It was the damaging Marciano war that really ruined him. He looked washed up in the rematch.

I think Fury is probably quite good.
Yes, he's a clumsy lumbering oaf, as was Vitali Klitschko.
Oh, and Lennox Lewis could be fairly clumsy and lumbering too.

Some boxers are quite good despite the ugliness of their style.
And some of the fighters who look all perfect and have all the moves don't actually know how to execute a winning fight, or don't have the heart when things get rough.

Marciano had his fair share of detractors for having an ugly style, his boxing wasn't pretty, lunging in, missing often, even stumbling off balance sometimes.
Sometimes it's not about how you look, it's about winning.

Marciano's first 40 fights could be bundled into three bouts a night exhibition spectacle with Tyson, it would take him less than 6 six months to slice thru that cannonfodder and tomatoe cans even on coke, booze and a burning dikk from gonoxxxiah.......

The only draw back would be that he most likely would have been charged with murder from the state prosecution office.

I think Tyson could beat all 44 of Marciano's opponents in a single night.
He'd probably need less than 12 rounds total to KO them all. Most would do worse than Marvis Frazier.

He could probably drink a bottle of whisky and snort six grams of cocaine an hour before the fight and be suffering from a dose of STD-Ebola and have a cracked up s!ssy eating his a$$hole alive between rounds and still crush those guys.
All of the opponents would die (except Tiger Ted Lowry who was tough as nails, he'd merely be paralysed) and 50% of them would have to be buried without their heads that would have flown off into the stands and been kept by blood-crazed Tyson fans as souvenirs.
