    He's no longer working with Anber? To be honest, I was so wrapped up in the fight, and so distracted and wound up by my WSSB stream stopping all the time, that I didn't even notice if he was in the corner tonight or not.

    Although Papa Lomachenko is not Usyk's coach, he's still in the same gym and involved. Sergey Vatamanyuk (Usyk's trainer) is also Vasyl Lomachenko's assistant coach. So I doubt the help Usyk receives is all that different from what he'd get if Papa Lomachenko was his main coach.

    He just out boxed the no.2 cw in the world, the same guy Bellew dropped his belt to avoid choosing a softer fight being David Haye*...


    *The David Haye thing may have been more about money but Bellew didn't want any part of him..

    Just coz someone has a tough fight doesn’t mean they have to leave their coach, the real reason is you guys underestimated Briedis and maybe overatted Usyk

    Anber is more like an advisor or an assistant now, Vatamaniuk is head trainer.

    OK thanks I didn't know that. Maybe Papa Loma and Vatamaniuk is the best option. I don't know anything about Vatamaniuk with regards to his ability as a trainer so it's hard to say.

    I did say that Briedis would give Usyk a really tough fight so I'm not surprised at all.

    Vatamaniuk helps Vasyl Lomachenko too so I guess Papa Lomachenko trusts him fully.

    No. Usyk is just not that good. He can't be helped. It's too late. His fight in the semifinal was the easiest too. Gassiev and Dorticos is for the real CW title.

    He's always with Usyk and I've seen him giving Usyk advice in the gym and I knew he played some kind of role in his training. But I only actually found out what his name was about a week ago. In fact, at first (and this is going back a while) I thought he was a fellow member of the Ukrainian amateur squad.
