Does he? Seems like he relies on his jab, occasional uppercuts, powerful southpaw straight left, and lots of creative angles. I wonder if he possess a powerful right hook. Or maybe he doesn't feel the need to use it. Has anyone seen him throw meaningful power right hooks?
He certainly did against Mchunu, Hunter, Glowacki and Briedis. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Against AJ he kept his right jab long and used it as a blinder for AJ. Probably weighs it up on a case by case based on risk. Even though he took AJ's power well the risk was there if he started throwing right hooks in potentially leaving himself open for an AJ right straight down the pipe.
I think this might be it. I would like to see Usyk throw a full power right hook though. Such an unusual punch. Very hard for an orthodox fighter to defend himself against it.
As much as I don't want that to be true, you are correct. Usyk can beat everybody around right now.........but when I pcture this fight in my mind, no matter what I see Usyk doing, Fury dominates him & wins emphatically, probably by KO.
Loma isn't regarded as a puncher but he's one punched KO'd two world champions/former world champions who were much heavier than him whereas there are top 10 P4P guys who are considered punchers who've never done that even though they've often have a significant weight advantage over their opponents
Believe me I have, just can't see Usyk winning against Fury. And I'm no Fury fan, believe me - I almost never root for particular fighters, but I do for Usyk, he's my man. I'd love it if he won!
