That's ridiculous Verhoeven gets schooled by Quarry

Rico has 5 inches of height and 60+lbs of weight on Quarry. Given how good Rico looked against Usyk (who himself would dwarf Quarry), I’d bet Rico could beat Quarry.

Yeah I've heard it all before, just like Ngannou. Rico hasn't actually beaten anyone and Quarry has handled guys who hit harder than Verhoeven nor does Verhoeven spam his height and reach against smaller guys. He's a hunchback heavyweight who doesn't move his head, is very hittable in the pocket and doesn't have power.

This dude is tailor made for Quarry. Usyk looked like crap and he's avoiding Kabayel because he's done at the elite level. Just like I would favor Opetaia, Briedis, Haye, Dokes, Povetkin, Spinks etc all those smaller more skilled guys to beat Verhoeven Quarry isn't that much different. And usyk wouldn't dwarf him, he didn't dwarf his cruiserweight opponents

If you are picking Quarry to beat Usyk, you are taking yourself out of any kind of conversation. A vast majority of the rest of the world will not think of you as a serious individual.

    I don’t believe that he’s said that.

Not unless I’ve misunderstood his post.

I could be missing something, but he said, "this dude is tailer made for Quarry."

    Thanks.

It is still a vastly strange observation. Would Quarry or any of the guys he mentioned have beaten him at 39? Did any of the names he threw out there even fight on until 39?

He was just making a point.

No, they wouldn’t have been as fresh at that age.

They had a lot more mileage.

The most baffling opinions here, are from Ubareem.

He has novice boxers in kick-boxers, beating the best HW’s of the 60’s and 70’s, yet then doesn’t think that any greats of the past (pre 1960) could have beaten any modern day fighters.

How does that make sense then??

An inexperienced Rico etc, could have beaten the 70’s guys, yet Ali, Louis, Robinson, Moore and Charles etc, couldn’t beat any modern day fighter.

Great fighters, who had elite skills and resumes, who were masters of the sport.

It’s an absolutely baffling level of thinking.

Also, today’s LHW’s, would have beaten the HW’s of the 60’s and early 70’s.

    Based on what exactly?

No. It doesn’t effect his legacy.
