I recall him taking many hard shots from Moreno and missing with all his own. Yet in the last few rounds he kept charging in, throwing haymaker, knowing very well he was going to be countered and caught flush. Vic has such a great heart, very inspirational fighter. He does this on a consistent basiss though, this isn't like Bert Cooper hanging in with Holfyield, he seems to do it time and time again in his fights.
Agreed. Consistency of heart in a fighter is so, so rare. For example see Mosley vs Oscar De La Hoya (1) and against Cotto, how he never stopped trying. Then see how he fought scared against Pacquiao and Mayweather. I believe Mosley to be warrior, but his heart has been tamed. There are plenty of examples, and this is because boxers are human. At times they are scared of being it, of losing. From what I've seen of Darchinyan he never lets his opponent take his heart. If I had to show someone who doesen't watch boxing a career of someone, Vic would be near the top of that list.
That's because Moreno punches are not lethal. But Vic is indeed a battler and I respect any Aussie battler. Mosley was dropped and felt the crackle in Pac-mans punches and lumps were growing on his face.He avoided being pizza face.
Give Vic some respect... the guy has been fighting the best fighters at 118 and has no business fighting at that weight. He's a warrior and always comes to fight. If you can't respect that based on that alone don't call yourself a fight fan.
